Some neighbors are against it, but on Monday night, the Albuquerque City Council could vote to allow the Church of Scientology to move its regional headquarters into a building in the heart of downtown.

The same hypocrits that are against this Church, would probably vote for a Pro-Choice Mormon for Senate or Support a Pro-Choice Catholic for any state office........Yet, they do it everyday and they still point their finger's at others.....Pathetic!

We could sure use these scientologists here in albuquerque, to rid our city of all these Body Thetans. They are the cause for all the crimes and homicides lately. If we are lucky maybe tom cruise will come into town, during the grand opening, and give marty a free audit. Lets just hope that Xenu don't take his anger out on us because of marty.

A church isn't ok for downtown? We're getting rid of the ones between Gold and Lead? Is this separation of City and Religion? The city must own the building to have such control.

The only people making sense in this thread are Xenu and JW. The fact that Xenu makes sense to me is disturbing.

Meanwhile, Albuquerque, look at beautiful, downtown, Cult Central Clearwater Florida to see what will happen to your thriving art and cultural zone if the Co$ moves in. Your sidewalks will be filled with culties selling books and recruiting your children. What fun!

The last thing I want to see when I'm drunk is some Xenu cult member trying to get me to fall for his crappy religion so he can make 10% for signing me up! Downtown is not the right place for these people. Let them have their place in the desert away from the rest of society so they can't bother us!

Just go to www.xenu.net
and see for yourself.
This is a dangerous cult.
Also search for Scientology on
www.youtube.com

It`s worse than you could possibly imagine.

I think the UFO landing site near Roswell (closer to Corona) would be an ideal location for this science fiction based "religion"..

Nah, SaniFlush would be a better spot given all the tin foil heads living there. They can tune in and chant to the Taos hum too.

My mother is the leader of this section of the cult here in Albuquerque. It is a highly abusive mind controlling and brainwashing CULT. It is by NO means a church. I truly hope that the planning dept. turns down the appeal. Also the statement that they will serve a "couple thousand members" is a load of crap. Google Scientology and see what you find.

Albuquerque shouold realize this, which is quite easy to observe: the cult has started a project just across its biggest building in Clearwater: 12 or 13 years later, it's far from being completed. The cult has bought a 15 mil $ building in Brussels: 2 years later, it's entirely desert.
The cult has another in Madrid: 3 years later, it has only some FEW people in it. And the low Clearwater front is almost deserted of any souls, because of the cult's bad reputation and auto-suffisance.
