Stop confusing the issue. Opponents of gay marriage have been trying for years to use this arguement, and it's TERRIBLY flawed, enough so that it (this arguement) doesn't hold up in a court of law.
Besides, being gay is NOT illegal, having gay relations is not illegal. Pedophilia and sex with kids IS illegal.

Stop acting like straight people have treated the gift of marriage as such. WE have been ruining it for years, with 50% divorce rates, quicky weddings in sleazy Vegas chapels, Pam Anderson marrying half of Hollywood, etc.
I live in a state where gay marriage has been legal for several years. We still put our sex offenders in jail (well, sometimes... not often enough, IMO)... the sky hasn't fallen, the churches haven't all burned down. Yep, since gay marriage legalization, it's been pretty much business as usual.
No lawyer worth his retainer would equate gay rights to the rights of a pedophile. It's just not the same thing. My fiance works for several lawyers... I can call their office on Monday and see what they think of that arguement, if you like. NAMBLA has tried for years to set a precedent... it won't happen.
Marriage is between adults. Someone who abuses a child can claim "he has a right" all he likes. He does not.
As far as "little girls" not being involved, that doesn't make a difference.
There are GAY pedophiles, but not ALL pedophiles are gay. I was sexually abused by a man in his 20's when I was a child. So, pedophilia is not limited to the abuse of little boys. The guy in this article just happened to like boys, and that's where you made the jump from that to gay marriage.
