Sorry but the atheist billboard is just as confrontational as one telling me I should pray only to Jesus. I loath fundamentalists of all sorts. This billboard is nothing more than atheist fundamentalism. Now bare in mind I am not saying they are not allowed to voice their opinions. I'm just voicing mine about what I see as bad advertising.

The Christians celebrate the birth of their son on Christmas. We Pagans celebrate the return of the sun on the solstice. The Atheists can choose to believe or not to believe what they want. Each believes that which is right for them. Why not leave it at that? It is wrong to push one set of beliefs over another.

But. Sometimes the only recourse to get through a person's self-induced blindness, is to be confrontational. But, no, I would not contribute $$ to funding that sort of billboard myself-- not my style. I prefer one that is humorous, while getting essentially the same message across. Laughter is also effective at getting past mental barriers.

I agree, Gnome. Preaching is unpalatable, no matter who is doing it.

They should burn those down. It's very offensive to Christians everywhere, including me! If I could, I would sue them for doing that.

I guess that it got right past you that the First Amendment doesn't somehow block people from offending you. But thanks for letting us know that you think it's ok to burn down speech you disagree with.

If someone said "Olympus and Valhalla are myths", would you consider them to be fundamentalists? If not, why not?

Booo-hooo.... listen to the whine of the little "persecuted" christard. Notice that his "answer" to something he does not like is to commit violence? What else from a violent hate-cult: christianity.

If it was phrased and depicted the same way on and near a major holiday of the faith of the those pantheons... then yes. I like to go into more on that but I need to rest first.

Aren't you glad you live in a country where people can say what they want? Including you? What would you sue them for? Because you find them offensive? Personally, I find anti-abortion billboards offensive, but those organizations have every right, under the laws of our country, to erect those billboards.

I find anti-abortion offensive. Why kill a life before it even starts? The person who decided to have an abortion was once a baby, too. Imagine their mother decided to have an abortion. I find abortion wrong and sickening. Back on topic, atheists have no right to offend other religions. People should have the right to believe what they believe without people criticizing them. Us Christians find that billboard offensive.

And you'll do...WHAT if Bob or any of us DON'T "shut your mouth?" Send your army of flying monkeys to fly us away to your castle? Oh that's right, you CAN'T, because that army doesn't exist, any more than your god does. Since all you have is a bunch of lame assertions without evidence, I can cheerfully dismiss all of them. Which I did, over 20 years ago. Secularism = FREEDOM. No slavery required.
