Give me a freeking break, Joy. I paid child support and even had to pay double for a period (because of welfare screw ups).

You think because a man pays child support that he gets to see his children every day when he finishs his work? Or tuck them in at night when they prepare for sleep?

I'm a father, grandfather, woodworker, computer programmer, and guitar and dulcimer builder and player.
My heart aches, that I have ever have had to do without any of my children. And I have. My oldest son to divorce, my youngest daughter to suicide, and now perhaps my yougest son to divorce.
I hate to see what these mothers and children are going through.
I know how it feels. It's not pretty.
If you want to study the old ways, shouldn't you have given your firstborn son as an offering for good favor? How long before they are doing child sacrifice to follow the Bible. Where are there so many baby graves, so many infant deaths or are they not deaths at all?

I can get just as "crazy" as you if you want to go the crazy bus route.

If you aren't brain-washed, then you apply some common sense to the way you live.

Did you hear that the kids in custody wanted to wear more regular clothes and have their backpacks? If you think 13-14 is old enough to marry, why not old enough to choose whether they want to go back or whether they'd rather have a new life?

Tex, do you have children?

Do they always want what they need? My 11 year old son thinks he should have a cell phone, his friends do. Nope.

You say a 13-14 year old should be able to make their own choices, but what choices are those even as old as 16 (and some in their 20's) able to make among them right now? Can they go home if they want?

Ah, it's not in their best interest. And who decides what's in their best interest?

Are you sure or is it the propoganda machine spewing out more misinformation to rally stupid ones like you to their side. I saw where the FLDS gave them a list of mothers and their children listed under each...doesn't quite add up to what you are saying unless some of the ones in custody are not the age of children but are in fact adults which the court has now conceded that the two who just gave birth are not underage. CPS would not accept their birth certificates or driver licences as proof but now they have conceded in the hearing it is true.

CPS is starting to unravel

From Dallasnews.com May 20

Committee Chairman Steve Ogden, R-Bryan - Mr. Ogden also questioned the third-biggest item in a list of $5.3 million worth of bills the state expects to pay for last month’s raid and makeshift shelters that were set up in San Angelo: Nearly $1.1. million for buses. He called it extravagant. Mr. Ogden said for that money, the state could’ve had a fleet of 35 buses at its disposal for an entire month.

Some committee members said they doubt the state can care for the sect children for nearly $21 million over the next year, as the commission estimated.

Sen. Bob Deuell, R-Greenville, said the state should try to recover cost of caring sect children. Speaking of the group’s 1,700 acre ranch, he said,“There’s obviously assets there.”

The commission’s chief, Albert Hawkins, said CPS needs more “conservatorship caseworkers”– not just to keep track of more than 450 children swept from the sect’s ranch in Eldorado but to meet a federal demand that virtually all foster children be visited by a state worker monthly.

The state was recently fined $4 million by the federal government for slow progress toward the monthly visits requirement.

Mr. Hawkins, responding to Ms. Nelson, said he’s seen no evidence that members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have drawn welfare and other public assistance in Texas, as some reportedly have done in Arizona and Utah.

I have 12 Martin guitars and over 30 accoustic guitars so I'm not 100% sure which one it is. I think that is my Martin Dreadnought DXM. That or the D-15. I'm playing outside in that shot so I doubt it's the D-35 as I rarely play it anywhere but in studio.

It is just too convenient for Texas Spanish
bureaucrats to hassle WHITE people based upon some
trumped-up charges....all "Law" authorities are
Masonic-Lucifer-worship-clubbe rs, and are increasingly going to hassle WHITE people and favor
the Demonic low-class Hispanics for jobs, because they are fundamentally Evil and willing to go along with hassling WHITE people....
---where's all the concern for Mexican Gangster
scum pumping out thousands of welfare criminals
gang-raped at age thirteen, demanding complete
Welfare coverage, even home-heating assistance?

I lost a career as a pilot after a motorcycle accident but had some success in the 80s as a song writer.

I've been playing music since I was 6 (started with the piano). I now do it professionally in Nashville and have had some additional success selling songs.

After the accident, music was one of the things that gave me some reason to go on.

Anyone see the AP Story?
Off the FoxNews Site...

"SAN ANGELO, Texas — A Texas appeals court said Thursday that the state had no right to take more than 400 children from a polygamist sect's ranch, a ruling that could unravel one of the biggest child-custody cases in U.S. history.

The Third Court of Appeals in Austin ruled that the state offered "legally and factually insufficient" grounds for the "extreme" measure of removing all children from the ranch, from babies to teenagers.

The state never provided evidence that the children were in any immediate danger, the only grounds in Texas law for taking children from their parents without court approval, the appeals court said.

The state never provided evidence that teenage girls were being sexually abused, and never alleged any sexual or physical abuse against the other children, the court said."

If you want more, go to the networks/wire services/etc...
I wish I could refrain from saying this to all of you who were so happy about all this, but I can't so why try; "I told you so! This case will all but disappear until the FLDS members start filing the lawsuits they will win.
Rule of law means exactly that; you can't lock'em up just because you feel in your gut that they are guilty.

CPS has seriously screwed us now. If there are underage children being sexually abused in that sect's compound, we will never no it; it will be a very cold day in hell when any outsider sees the inside again. CPS and a bunch of idiot State-fiunded lawyers just made sure of that.

Tell it, my brother!!

CPS always bites off their nose to spite their face, with their "We can do whatever we want" attitudes.

They should have laid low and tried to get an in to acquire the necessary proof. Though it appears that never would have happened, because all the "sexually abused children" are being reclassified as ADULTS due to their ADULT ages.

Sheesh! Never trust a government agency who thinks they have to answer to no one.

If CPS steps back on the grounds, I hope they get shot up with pellet or paintball guns.
