I was there at the Obama rally in Grant Park on election night. I had a ticket. What I saw there shocked me. The people who want us to drive electric cars littered all over the place. They made a mess of the park. There was no sense of patriotism. No one put their hand over their hearts for the pledge of allegiance or took their hats off... they made fun of the national anthem, the ministers prayer... the red states... rude statements about Sarah Palin... there were almost half a dozen near fistfights by me when people bumped into each other. All of the racist comments irritated me. There was no unity or sense of country. They just wanted to hear the messiah speak.

He took the stage alone. I've never seen a politician take the stage alone on election night. It was odd. He looked SCARED. He really did look scared. As if he didn't figure on winning but now wondered what in the heck he would do. He did not look presidential. He appeared weak.

For such an historic moment the applause was low, Obama never even had to pause for cheering or applause or adoration...the energy level was low... there was no celebration... no fireworks... no balloon drop or confetti. His speech was not at all inspiring. People left kind of quietly. It was a letdown after all of the build up.

I supported him from day one... that's how I got a ticket to the rally. Now I think I made the wrong choice in voting for him. I think the media over hyped him and he'll never live up to the expectations and he knows it. I thought I would be 'sold' at the rally... walk away believing.

When he had his press conference my doubts turned into regret. What was up with that tacky sign "office of the President-Elect." Why did the reporters stand when he entered the room? Because they have been in bed with him from the beginning?

Barack Obama is like those holograms they used on CNN election night... he is a creation of the media. Even he knows it. And maybe he is afraid everyone else is going to find out.

I fear for this nation. What have we done. Who have we chosen to lead us in these troubled times? Have we elected an illusion, a hologram for president? Obamanomics scares the heck out of me.

Many Obama supporters are going to trash you for what you wrote, but that is a powerful indictment of Obama mania.

Don't know why?

Because true patriots love America even when they lose an election and don't get what they want from the president.

Obama was very influential in helping seal the fate of gays & lesbians regarding Proposition 8 in California, and the anti-gay amendment that passed in Florida.

After reading below what Obama did...how Obama sold gays & lesbians up the river...how Obama fanned the flames of hate that many blacks feel toward gays & lesbians just to get more votes...is it any wonder that 70% of black voters voted against gays & lesbians in California and Florida.

Obama should be ashamed of himself. Such strategies are right out the Karl Rove playbook, Obama’s strategy was even worse than Rove’s…….please read below for yourself:

I love this country. I just wanted to see some change. I was a victim of all the hype. I hope Barack is the best presidet we've ever had.

I just have some doubts that he is the guy the media said he was. That's all. I'm more angry at the press than anything. If he fails their higher than obtainable expectations of the man will be in part responsible.

I have never seen Obama looked frightened, although with all the hatred about him, maybe he should. For your information, people are obligated to stand when the President-Elect enters room. You certainly didn't realistically support him from day one or you would not talk the way you do. I thought it was in good taste that he did not have fireworks, etc. He certainly could have afforded them if he wished, it shows class. Don't tell us there was no jubilation. TV watchers heard the applause, the tears, the hugging, etc. There were millions who chose him so guess your opinion is a mite weak.

Blacks hate everything but black. Whites, gays, Jews, Asians, you name it. Their culture and their leadership is rife with examples of their intolerance and nobody ever stands up to it. This is just the latest example. And now people like them will be running this country...

Then be angry at yourself for listening to the press!

We have a wonderful tool called the internet, and we still have libraries. Look it up for yourself!

I realized MY Republican party had become a disorganized joke!-capped by the greatest insult ever to ALL Americans; Sarah Palin.

I have respect for John McCain- but once Palin showed up- I smelled good old Karl Rove all over her! And in 2 months from no one knewing she existed- to people acting like SHE was a messiah, I realized how easily you can fool millions of people.

A disgusting INSULT! To all of us!

I read up on them! And then I read up on Obama and Biden.

I COULD NOT vote for McCain as long as this rediculous fanatical bubblebrain was on the ticket.

I crossed the line, voted for Obama/Biden, and realized- I made the right choice.

Barack is already showing it! planning to appoint QUALIFIED people to foreign positions, instead of 'good 'ol boys' he just happened to go to college with, and who gave money to 'buy' positions.(GWB).
Helluva good start, I'd say.

With Obama/Biden, America has a chance to return to the great country she once was.

Liberals are incredibly hypocritical like that. I am a staunchly pro-environment moderate who is anal as can be about recycling. Have you ever tried to find a public recycling bin anywhere in NYC or Boston? There are garbage cans everywhere but if you're looking to recycle a water bottle in a big "liberal" city, you're out of luck. It really does not surprise me a bit to hear that liberals trashed a park. To them, it's all about their own selfish interests, not about a common good.

I question President-Elect Obama's judgement.
Why he would seek the opinion of the Los Angeles Mayor is difficult to understand. The only job the Mayor might be able to fill his parking cars at the White House.

Rahm Emmanuel is not a 'new tone' either... the guy is a machine politico from Chicago... recycled Clintonian. If we see Chicago guys moving to DC then it's going to get really dirty.

So much for change.
