how a jw committee meeting works

well, first you mention your problem with someone to an elder,

then the elder gets two friends of his who always agree with him who are also elders, to meet with you.

if you agree with hiding everything that will make the jw organization look bad, you have a chance........ but if you claim you will expose some wrongdoing, if they don't take care of it, you will be disfellowshipped and silenced.

it is a very simple process.

because jws don't understand the process, they walk like sheep to the slaughter..... and many of them back off after they are starteled by an elder whom they thought was on their side, and after they are threatened to shup up or get disfellowshipped, they shut up and become SILENT LAMBS.

If you check with reputable law firms, they will confirm this. The noted law firm of Love and Norris have deliberately distanced themselves from this slanderous liar. He has no concern for victims as he claims, but is only interested in spreading lies and slander of others that he has disagreements with.

Silentlambs actually enables pedophiles, because they don't bring out the truth of what is going on regarding pedophiles, and all of his distortions are hindering parents from knowing the truth of who is a real threat to their children.

The Facts: It is against the law to cover up or fail to report crimes of child molesting, to protect any criminal. If there were any victims that were silenced, why hasn't the law prosecuted the WTBS for doing so? There is not a single case of this happening.

There may have been some misinformed elders that have done such things, but they weren't following the instructions from the Branch office. If the Branch was actually giving secret instructions, as some have claimed, why hasn't there ever been a single case that has been brought to court? Surely there must be at least one victim that could come foward, if such a thing were true.

The Facts: The process of a judicial committee meeting is actually described and completely layed out in what we call the "od" book. Every publisher has one of these books, and is encouraged to read and study this information.

Additionally, all of the information that is published in the elders instruction manual, is information that has also appeared in the publications open to the public. The instruction manual just condenses certain situations so that the elders have explicite instructions to deal with certain matters. So there are actually no secrets regarding proceedures at judicial committee meetings.

You are right, it is laid out how it's supposed to go. Whether or not it goes that way, is another matter. Some of the elders go their own way, and use the judicial arrangement to carry out personal feelings toward someone.
The only problem is, when it's brought to the attention of the CO, nothing is done, because the dfed person is no longer considered credible, and so they always believe the elders, even if they are lying.
I never would have thought this, until I observed it with my own eyes. My husband even did the no-no of recording a meeting with the elders. They do not want you to record the meetings with them. But if a person wants to record a conversation in which they are personally involved in, it breaks no law. However, you can be severely disciplined for it in the congregation. lol He wasn't, but was told NEVER to do it again, severely. I guess the brother in question didn't like the fact that it was on a recording that he admitted that he never liked a certain sister that he appointed himself chairman of the judicial committee for.
Where people are given power, there will be abuses.

Like I said, sometimes elders don't follow instructions, and as you say, they go their own direction and sometimes carry out self willed decisions.

Will they get away with their injustice and personal vandeta?

Not true, especially when you take into account the additions to the book that are given orally for the elders to hand write into their books. For example, where in publicly available WT publications can you find the 6 things elders are supposed to omit from disfellowshipping forms?

If you don't mind my asking, LL, why do you keep going somewhere that you say you aren't wanted and that you don't believe holds truth?

How is it obedience to God, in your opinion, to keep going somewhere that you don't believe is truly keeping to His word? I'm just asking because it doesn't make any sense to me to do that.

And, more importantly, why would God want you to go somewhere that isn't keeping to the bible, if it is as you believe? How is that obedience to God? I'm getting more confused here all the time.

I will take this a little further.
Jesus came among the original jehovah witnesses, and he called their leaders ' hypoctites, snakes and vipers.' he exposed their false teachings.
Now he has left us a model to follow closely.
Ofcourse he knew their system was going to be destroyed, why did he continue going there?
Jesus went to the temple to teach and preach, but he told the woman at the well ' the hour is coming and is now , when true worshipers will worship the father in spirit and truth."
seeing Jesus knew this why did he continue going to Jerusalem to celebrate the passover?
what do we learn from observing jesus closely?
would you say jesus looked back? if not why?
he knew his god was going to take the kingdom away from this people and give it to a nation producing its fruit.
What does jesus example teach us?
Do you believe jesus sets us an example in how to obey our God within corrupt systems? Do you believe christianity is a pick up your stake and follow him, or a feel good club where everyone pats each other on the back?
