Letter from the United Nations on Criteria to DPI

In regards to the U.N. thing, I
wrote to the United Nations reference team asking them
if there were any changes in criteria since 1991, for
an NGO to be associated with DPI. The following is
their response:

Greetings from the UN Reference Team.

We have contacted the NGO section of the DPI about the criteria. The
answer
was that the criteria for association with DPI have never changed. They
have been the same from the very beginning - based on the legislative
authority of ECOSOC resolution 1296 (XLIV) of 23 may 1968 that was in
turn
based on the UN Charter, Article 71
(http://www.un.org/aboutun/charter/chapt10.htm ).

We will not be able to assist you in this matter any further, if you
wish
you can still contact the NGO Section of the DPI

What say you 3W, does this letter need to be broken down word by word so that you can tell us what the UN reference team really meant?

1968.......... not 1991, not 2001 but 1968. This criteria was in place since 1968.

The WTBTS have lied. In the letter written in response to my BS elders inquiry they said that once they were aware that criteria had changed they resigned.

We now have two replies from the UN saying not true as to the criteria changing and not being in place in 1991.

And even if the wording was such that the WTBTS could 'manouver' around it, on moral grounds that does not excuse them one bit.

So not only have the WTBTS done the wrong thing joining, but it would appear they have compounded the wrong by lying.

When they could have come clean and said they had made a mistake.......... they lie to protect themselves.

In my mind this is the issue.......... not the joining as that was a mistake as their resignation has shown, and let's face it we all make mistakes.

The fact they are willing to lie about it speaks volumes for their credibility on all aissues, not just this one.

3rd Witnesses' claims that the Ecosoc resolution had nothing to do with Ngos associated with DPI are nothing but a figment of his imagination.

I had proven that in my first debate with 3rd witness. ECOSOC can call on the DPI to further it's goal. It is stated in resolution 13. As it receives it's backing from the UN charter as well. But 3rd witness twist and adds to much of his own interpretation, confusing the naive witness.

or should I say, deceiving the naive witness.

This is the article from the Guardian that broke the story on the UN/Watchtower association. Is it coincidence that within days of this write up in the paper, the WBTS asked to resign from the DPI section of the UN?....I think not.

The Watchtower has told us that they needed to "sign" up with the DPI/UN in 1991-2 in order to use the UN library, and use their research archives. What does it say on the UN website?
