So if such a flawed witness such as Ms Conti was able to cause the mighty Watchtower to lose a court case-does this mean Jehovah has removed His protection from youre organisation?

Jehovah's Witnesses are extremely strict and would never tolerate this level of wrongdoing. This and the fact that Johnathan Kendrick wasn't in good standing in their congregation. Why would her parents permit her to go home with someone who wasn't in good standing? it just doesn't add up. There's more to this story, and I'm sure the truth will be exposed in the end.

That's pretty bad when your own parents don't back your story. Did she really win the law suit? perhaps I should do some digging to find out the truth since I haven't come across an actual reliable website posting this story.

Jehovah's Witnesses have always been exonerated of past allegations. This is because they do take wrongdoing serious and is not tolerated in the congregation. This time around the jury held the whole organization accountable for a single member who wasn't even in good standing. The elders were also unaware of any abuse. This has never been done before and I'm sure the verdict will be over-tuned. If this verdict is not over-turned it will mean serious problems other religious institutions who have had to pay millions of dollars for abuse involving prominent members. Anyone can now come out of the woodwork and cry abuse from just another member in their religion. So those that are backing this should really thing twice.

Truth be told, the WTS has not been exonerated of wrongdoing. They have heretofore been able to pay off the plaintiffs with a gag order attached.

This time they weren't so lucky. It went into court and the evidence showed them to be guilty as charged.

J.Ws have always been uncomfortable with sins like this. It proves they are not in spiritual paradise and Christ has arrived and cleansed His congregation. Any one who has gone to the elders claiming molestation and the perpetrator denies it,are told to wait on Jehovah and to not mention it to anyone upon threat of dis fellowshipping for slander.in the past even going to the authorities was bringing reproach on Jehovah.

Wow what a bunch of liars. When you are exonerated in courts there is no need for "gag" money. I see your not interested in facts so I'm out of here.

You are absolutely correct. If you are exonerated in COURT, there is no payoff prior to going to COURT. The cases that have been filed against the WTS up until now have almost always been settled OUT OF COURT with a payoff and a gag order. The WTS never got to present their evidence, and they were never exonerated...they avoided being exposed in court.

Take if from someone who knows why... its humiliating, demeaning, embarrassing, and devastating. Something that many people sweep under the rug and pretend it didn't happen and/or don't want anyone to find out so they hide it for whatever reason. Even parents cover it up because of the stigma in their families. The shame is too much to bear and the victim often lives in a private hell in their mind and spirit, thus causing them to become messed up adults looking for something, anything to erase the pain, shame and humiliation. This form of abuse happens much more than anybody knows and it is kept hush hush for the very reasons I just mentioned. And yes, I am an authority on this.

Firstly, the court documents are available to read, i highly suggest you read them since its clear by your posts you have not read them.

He was in good standing, that is an amazing statement you made, and im not trying to be insulting, but that just makes it clear you have not researched this subject enough to be offering an informed opinion.

I suggest researching this subject, and then coming back after you have done so to make comments.

Its clear by your statement that "its pretty bad when your own parents dont back your story" that you are simply choosing to believe what the JW apologists on here have claimed.

It is an OUTRIGHT LIE for someone to claim that Candaces mom doesnt back her story. Im not calling you a liar, but im saying you are choosing to believe a lie that has been personally debunked by Candances mom herself on this forum.

I dont know if you are just a JW clown posting under a different name to try to start some BS, or if you are truly honestly trying to find out about this case.

Again, PLEASE educate yourself. Do you see how horrible it could be if you are making posts that insinuate that Candace is lying about being abused or questioning it, to then find out she is telling the truth?

If kendrick did what she claims, then the man should be behind bars. The DA will not prosecute until the victim comes forward to press charges. The fact that she is unwilling to do that is telling. Even more telling is the fact that she made a deal with Kendrick not to go after him for damages.
