Good luck TheeOnlineWitness, I think most of us ex-jws feel that way, but JWs interpret everything we say or do as an attack on them and other jws.

We try to get through the control of mthe Watchtower organization with the truth and jws say we are bashing them.

As I said, good luck.

So,what is the message that has been contained 100 years in the Watchtower publications that they come to your home with?

ANSWER: JESUS HAD HIS "ENTHRONEMENT TO HEAVENLY GLORY" "HAD HIS RETURN TO POWER" "TOOK HIS SEAT BESIDES JEHOVAH" "THAT THE GENTILE TIMES ENDED IN 1914"

It is quite common now to talk about the Jehovah's Witness RELIGION. That is a complete turn-around! In my days as a baptised Witness, ALL RELIGION was A SNARE AND A RACKET! Today they accept the title RELIGION because it is necessary to be a RELIGION to get the various tax advantages, and helpful when claiming to be Ministers of Religion for purposes of Consciencious Objection to military service. They do however say they are the TRUE RELIGION, whereas all others are FALSE RELIGIONS. If you've received your leaflet through the door, you will know that "The End Of False Religion Is Near!"
It's amazing how the words 'soon' and 'near' relating to Armageddon can last so long, 120 years so far!

Written c. 55 c.e.(1 Corinthians 7:29) 29 Moreover, this I say, brothers, the time left is reduced. Henceforth let those who have wives be as though they had none,

Written c. 62-64 c.e.(1 Peter 4:7) 7 But the end of all things has drawn close. Be sound in mind, therefore, and be vigilant with a view to prayers.

Written c. 98 c.e.(1 John 2:16-17) 16 because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. 17 Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.

Written c. 56-58 c.e.(Luke 21:34-36) 34 “But pay attention to yourselves that YOUR hearts never become weighed down with overeating and heavy drinking and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day be instantly upon YOU 35 as a snare. For it will come in upon all those dwelling upon the face of all the earth. 36 Keep awake, then, all the time making supplication that YOU may succeed in escaping all these things that are destined to occur, and in standing before the Son of man.”

Written before 648 b.c.e.(Zephaniah 2:2-3) 2 Before [the] statute gives birth to [anything],[before the] day has passed by just like chaff, before there comes upon YOU people the burning anger of Jehovah, before there comes upon YOU the day of Jehovah’s anger, 3 seek Jehovah, all YOU meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably YOU may be concealed in the day of Jehovah’s anger.

Thinking that 120 years is too long is like a child who thinks his parents lied when they said Christmas was close and he had to wait two weeks. You are showing that you have not placed yourself properly in the stream of time but are imagining that everything relates to the short years you are alive. It also shows that you have not placed yourself properly relative to Jehovah the Sovereign of the Universe or you would not be trying to find fault with his Word but would look within yourself for the defect that makes you question the Supreme Ruler of the Universe.

To howdy doody,
The scriptures you quote about the 'nearness' of the end are now 2000 years old approx. The Watchtower Society's similar warnings have lasted 120 years.
Never-never-never does the Society add the thought that Armageddon might be another 120 years or even another 2000 years.
No- no- no! They mislead people, especially those with disabilities and those in 3rd world countries who are suffering poverty and famine, with the promise of a Paradise Earth in present people's lifetime.
When the Society uses a word like 'SOON' it has the specific meaning of 'in the very near future'.
It certainly draws new members in, but it doesn't prevent similar numbers leaving when they discover 'the REAL Truth!'.

Do you think Jesus was trying to trick people 2000 years ago when he told people to keep on the watch?

The thing about Armageddon is that it will come at Jehovah's appointed time whether you choose to wait for it or not. You may be here when it comes, you may not. This small sample of life you have been given is your chance to show your gratitude to your creator for what you have already received or to demand more and demand it now. Your relative used his little piece of time to the full, and he has an eternal future under God's Kingdom ahead. Smart guy!

1914 comes from occult origins and not the Bible

extortion, fraud, terrorism, thef t are all against the law unless you are the watchtower religious cult of Jehovah's witnesses then you get a tax exemption

I would not be so irreverent to say Jesus tricked people, but what I do say is that 'keeping on the watch' for 2000 years is somewhat meaningless.
However, having read very deeply into present-day writings of the Governing Body, they also tell the Witnesses 'keep on the watch', with the often stated prediction that the end is SOON!( Read the Purpose of the Watchtower).
Since SOON has the specific meaning of 'in the very near future, I have to conclude that your Governing Body ARE tricking the Witnesses into believing that 'the end' is within the lifetime of people living today. I will withdraw that claim if the Governing Body publishes that 'the end' could be up to 1000 years away. I would even withdraw that claim if they published 'the end' could be 100 years away. Keeping the Membership in anticipation of an imminent Armageddon keeps them in the Organisation.

I checked the websites there's nothing available there. I would like to hear those comments though, I find the actual JW teachings faultless. I research, do you?

I think that warning the people of the Biblical Armageddon is there loving care. If it keeps them watchful of there Christian obligations, then that's cool, besides every other Christian religion does this too.

In Matthew, it is predicted that the Good News would be preached about God's New Kingdom and then the Armageddon end would come. That is the message that the Watchtower teaches.

So what's new ? This is the message that Christianity has been preaching for centuries, the WTS is a johnny come lately who can get to the back of the line.
