JWs are taught to be like the Boreans and check out from the scripture what is said. IT is true no body knows the day or hour, but some of the writers got overly zealous just as the apostle did thinking that Jesus was going to set up his kingdom at that time. Jesus had to explain it to the on more than one occasion and it wasn't until after his death that they understood what he was talking about.

Now if those men that were in direct contact with Jesus got things wrong, why should we not expect imperfect humans 2000 years later to not get things wrong. The WT writers admitted they were over zealous.

And to REPEAT..... They NEVER prophesied ANYTHING but like the apostles misunderstood some things

What chapter and verse in Daniel mentions the year 1914? Knowing Daniel never mentioned 1914 I think it would be safe to say the the WTS are false prophets as God has told us how to identify them. The WTS are false prophets and therefore the NWT is a blasphemy written with the help of spiritualism and ignorant men who have no ability to translate ancient Greek and Hebrew. They even use a name for God that they admit is wrong but insist it is right even when saying it is wrong.! Again blasphemy! Only Satan could be so arrogant.

Christ doesn't NEED co-rulers, but chose them to rule with him. Rev. 5:9,10 says: "And they sing a new song saying:'You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals, because you were slaughtered, and with your blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and you MADE THEM TO BE A KINGDOM AND PRIESTS TO OUR GOD, and they are to RULE AS KINGS OVER THE EARTH."

These co-rulers were foretold at Daniel 12. Verses 1-4 say: "I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man [Jesus] happened to be coming, and to the Ancient of Days [Jehovah] he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. And to him there were given RULERSHIP, and DIGNITY and KINGDOM, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin."

Then v. 18 says: "But, the HOLY ONES [saints in some translations) of the Supreme One will RECEIVE THE KINGDOM, and they will take possession of the KINGDOM for time indefinite, even for time indefinite upon times indefinite." Verse 22 continues: "Until the Ancient of Days came and judgment itself was given in favor of the holy ones of the Supreme One, and the definite time arrived that the holy ones TOOK POSSESSION OF THE KINGDOM ITSELF. Then in verse 27 we read: "And the KINGDOM and the RULERSHIP and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens were given to the people who are the HOLY ONES OF THE SUPREME ONE. Their kingdom is an indefinitely lasting kingdom, and all the rulerships will serve and obey even them."

These are the co-rulers [saints] with Christ, foretold long before Christ's time on earth, and the same ones mentioned at Rev. 5:9,10

Romans 8:17 "And if children, then heirs; HEIRS OF GOD, and JOINT-HEIRS WITH CHRIST; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

2 Timothy 2:12 “ If we suffer, we shall also REIGN WITH HIM: if we deny him, he also will deny us:”[we shall alsos RULE with him.= GNBE, GWB, Message, we shall also SHARE HIS KINGSHIP; = Weymouth. also REIGN AS KINGS with Him.= NWT, WNT

Revelation 5:10 “and didst MAKE US to our God KINGS AND PRIESTS, and we shall reign upon [over] the earth.’

...AND ...It is more that putting faith in Jesus it is EXERCISING faith in the ransom and OBEYING all of the commands that he gave that he learnt from his God. It is worshiping GOD in TRUTH not in pagan lies of trinity,m hell fire, immortal soul, and promoting pagan holidays such as Christmas and Easter as being Biblical.

If one is not actively EXERCISING FAITH and teaching pagan ideologies Jesus has nothing to do with you until you change your ways.

Just like the jw teaching states that it is a superior position, NOT the superior position, so is the NWT, is a most accurate, NOT the accurate translation. With that said, the NWT has ERRORS, and therefore, have caused many to die without hope for eternal life.

Waiting for MAD to give chapter and verse in Daniel giving the 1914 date that he says is there.If it is there like he says it is it shouldn't be difficult to point to it.

so I went in and re-read the scriptures which you provided both int he NWT and the NIV.. they are very similar in wording to the point that I don't believe there can be any major translation discrepancies. And my conclusion is this.

Daniel 7:13 The rulership, dignity and kingdom (NIV: authority, glory and sovereign power) were Given to Christ and Christ alone. 14..."HIS dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and HIS kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."
vs 18...But the saints of the most high will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever...

All true christians will inherit/receive the kingdom of heaven as our reward and possess(Does a senator or governor co-rule with the president? No, they answer to him. best laymen's example I could come up with to illustrate my point)

Revelation 5:9-10 states that the Kingdom (the people) and the priests will serve our God.. How can you co-reign with the one you are serving?

Daniel 7:27 "And the KINGDOM and the RULERSHIP and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens were given to the people who are the HOLY ONES OF THE SUPREME ONE. Their kingdom is an indefinitely lasting kingdom, and all the rulerships will serve and obey even them."
The wording "even them' indicates that they have lesser power than Christ as supreme ruler.
I don't see anywhere in these scriptures that anyone, not even the saints will be co-ruling with Christ. "Co" means equally. Scripture clearly states that they will be obeying, worshiping and serving him. Yes, there will be some level of rulership for the saints but there is no one equal to Christ in Heaven or earth with the exception of God Himself.

God raised Daniel up in His will as a great prophet so did not God give Daniel the gift of dream interpretation and did not Daniel interpret the dreams as what is known today as the end of times prophecy? Daniel is considered a great prophet of God so if the dates of end times is based on Daniels interpretations of dreams, would this not also be considered the 'prophecies of God' along with all the other foretellings of end times? Every person who is of the line of David, God chose specifically to carry out a will of his, including Daniel and his interpretations/prophecies.
And if Daniel's prophecies/interpretations are not from God then why would the WT/JW's organization believe in something that was not from God or inspired of God?

Now, Becky- how about READING his prophecies. SYMBOLIC times were given- one that when 'deciphered' pin-pointed the very date the Messiah was to begin his mission; that is why the Jews were EXPECTING the Messiah, and were fooled by many pretenders CLAIMING to be him- right on up to Masada.

Those symbolic dates didn't stop THERE, but continued far into the future.

Ask for guidance, then READ them!
