Dear Brothers,

Today my granddaughter was playing a computer game on the Disney Junior website and she started watching a story that had a magic beanstalk in it.

What should I do?

Dear troubled grandpa,

Allowing your granddaughter to watch the video "Become Jehovah's Friend" released during the 2012 District Convention is an excellent way to teach your granddaughter that Jehovah hates magic and she should too.

The lessons learned from the video will encourage her to close up the computer and throw it in the nearest trash bin because if she doesn't Jehovah will hate her too.

With much love,

The Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses

Do you honestly think that they'll wait to deal with this "issue" until 2019?

Dear Brothers,

Thankyou for suggesting that my granddaughter watch the 2012 Watchtower Society video "Become Jehovah's Friend."

My graddaughter was so encouraged by Caleb's faithfulness that she took the $3500AU laptop computer her parents (who are not Jehovah's Witnesses) gave her as a Christmas present and threw it in the trash bin 5 minutes after seeing the video because she wants to become Jehovah's friend just like I am.

Unfortunately, her parents are very distraught because she upheld Jehovah's sovereignty and are threatening legal action against the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society because they rummaged through my mail while paying my bills (they have POA due to my advanced age and numerous health problems) and found your letter.

What should I do?

Dear troubled grandpa,

We are so proud of your granddaughter and so is Jehovah.

We are saddened to hear that her parents are distraught over her decision to make Jehovah's heart glad but you can take comfort in knowing that your granddaughter has become Jehovah's friend and will not be destroyed by him. We can only hope that her parents will come to an accurate knowledge of the truth and join you in worshiping Jehovah.

We would like to make a suggestion that may alleviate the problem that YOU have with her parents threatening to sue the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

Have you considered designating a trusted elder in your congregation to take on the duties of Power of Attorney for you?
This would eliminate your granddaughter's parents from interferring as you teach her to become Jehovah's friend and may bring them to their senses.

You might also consider designating the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia as sole beneficiary of your estate. That would insure that your wishes to promote and support Jehovah's kingdom would be honored and you can rest assured that it would also make Jehovah's heart glad.

With much love,

The Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses

Any Christian who has to turn to an organization as a mediator between him and God..is bankrupt to start with

The new covenant tells us, if we lack wisdom to ask God for ir, and he gives generously without reproach.

But as for you Unchained you are just a 'digger up of dirt' looking everywhere to dig up more dirt ..there is no encouragement from you to others to help build faith...Just this mercilous 'hate'

How about lighting a candle instead of cursing the darkness.'

hi little lamb,
you seem to have a "self-righteous" nature opperating in you, pretending to be the holy spirit.
have you ever tried going to an assembly of god church, and letting them pray for you and getting that demon kicked out of you?

exposing the wicked jw gov body, and the rest of satan's tricks IS A LIGHT shining on..... the cockaroaches don't like those lights.... oppose the devil and he will flee from you.

jesus spent much of his ministry exposing the twisted thinking of the pharisees..... are you saying he should have just shut up about them, and focused on explaining all the details of the coming kingdom?

cause, as you know, he didn't really explain too much about it all.

She gets off on telling the Christians on here that they aren't really Christians and then she turns around and blasts the Governing Body.

5 minutes later she is defending the Watchtower Society's doctrine tooth and nail.

She spams numerous threads with off topic drivel attacking other posters.

Either she is a couple french fries shy of a McDonald's Happy Meal or she is having some serious hot flashes.

My granddaughter has been thinking about her decision to throw away the computer she received as a Christmas present from her parents and now wants to know why Jehovah wanted her to get rid of it since it was not magic.

probably the hot flashes thingy too.... i remember back when i was a self-righteous jw, in denial of my sins, instead of accepting the blood of christ and admitting i am a sinner.

its a tough job being a self-righteous pharisee who thinks they are above everyone else.... it gets really confusing.

hey little lamb, seriously, ummmmm, babylon hasn't fallen yet, and even though the churches are full of demons, they are still the approved place to go make christian friends.... and a lot of those demons are not really demons, they are just unclean-angels working out their salvation just like you...... they might be able to help you overcome not seeing the white crud at each edge of your mouth that you can't spot.

Why did you allow her to get in the computer in the first place? Didn't you teach her that is was wrong to celebrate Christmas? Are you implying it is ok to accept Christmas gifts as long as it does not violate your conscience?

Need to be careful that we do not get ensnared in their web of deceit. I hope you noticed that his grandpa's statement was a 1/2 truth. He mentioned that the laptop was a Christmas gift. He was ok with it. He had accepted it because the parents are not jws. Grandpa did not or does not want to "break" his granddaughter's heart by
telling her it is wrong to accept Christmas gifts because the jws do not celebrate Jesus' birth. He used a different tactic to get rid of the Christmas gift. Why didn't he tell his granddaughter the evil of accepting a Christmas gift?
Deceitful.

The computer was a Christmas gift from granddaughter's parents to their child.

Troubled grandpa bought his own computer.

Troubled grandpa and his wife worked and lived at bethel from 1988
until 2010.

They now live with his nonJW daughter and her nonJW husband.

Even more so. Grandpa is subtely deceiving the family while accepting the generosity of unbelievers of there faith which they were told not to associate with.

Troubled grandpa was accepted to serve at bethel after his wife died.

In 2010 he was reassigned to his old congregation but had no means to support himself.

His daughter and son-in-law opened their hearts and home to him.

He lives in a furnished apartment over the detached garage that they built 2 months after he moved in with them.

It works out well for both families.

He limits his association with his daughter and son-in-law.

His daughter was disfellowshiped for apostasy in 1995 for openly questioning the 1914 doctrine when the slave received a better understanding about Matthew 24:34 from Jehovah.

She was doing good in the truth until she accepted a college scholarship and moved away to pursue higher education and a worldly career.

When she married out of the truth in 1994 her husband began placing doubts in her mind about the faithful and discreet slave.

Troubled grandpa has been witnessing to their 10 year old daughter but tells her that her parents would oppose the wonderful truths she is learning about Jehovah and his Christ if they found out he has been helping her spiritually.

Her parents make her attend a Baptist church with them where she is taught that Jesus died for her personal sins.

Troubled grandpa is distraught taht his daughter has rejected the truth and encourages his granddaughter to believe that Jesus died for her personal sins instead of for Adamic sin like the Bible teaches.
