When you read the Koran, why do you not object to the commands to kill all infidels, all who are not Muslim? How can you blindly accept such commands, yet proclaim your religion is one of peace? The Christians to whom you referred as fighting offensive wars and destroying societies were not true Christians. There were many who proclaimed themselves to be Christians but were frauds using the religion to benefit themselves. During the Middle Ages, non-Christians, appointed by the local rulers, invaded the Church, pretending to be following Biblical teaching when in reality they distorted its truths, using their positions of power to commit sins. They blasphemed the name of Jesus by killing and torturing in the name of Christianity, a religion none of them lived. If you read the teachings of Jesus, you will find nothing but great love and forgiveness for all with him. He is the only way to avoid Hell and he offers all, not just some, salvation. No real Christian can commit murder and destruction because Christ changes his heart, instilling love, forgiveness and mercy for all people The reason Jesus’ teachings haven’t helped some is because they have never accepted them and been saved, but are simply pseudo Christians, fake ones whose hearts have never been changed.
I appreciate your desire for all of us to start respecting each other, for we should; but when Islamic terrorists kill and destroy as they do, it puts an obstruction in the path of peace. I feel there is no hope the world of Islam and the rest of the world can live together peacefully, for Muslims are not inclined to be peaceful and friendly. If they can’t refrain from killing their own people and from teaching hatred and destruction of the Western world, how can there be any resolution of our differences?
