"People believe [political] Islam is the best, but they need to be freed of this idea. Entering this era will be a chance to be freed from this illusion."

If I understand it correctly, this statement sounds so sad and resigned.

How long would this era of illusion last? A few generations? But by the next generation, people would have forgotten about where they have started. Of course I'm not qualified to talk about such human experiment, but looking at many muslim nations that have remain miserable for such a long time, freedom may actually be the "illusion".
