These three documents are set in direct conflict with religions demand for obediance to a 'higher power".
As a side note prior to signing the Magna Carta, King John was excommunicated by Pope Innocent but bought himself back into the good graces of the Vatican by giving England and Ireland over to papal control and paid out some bucks too.
The only thing religion has contributed to the formation of secular law was a good reason to have secular law.
