Oh, for Pete's sake!

That is not any sort of denial. It is a refutation of your cockamamie assertion.

If the membership of The Episcopal Church was reported to be only 100,000 (at least a tenth of the actual active membership), that would still be 100's of times more than thousands of existing, individual Churches, each a Christian denomination in its own right.

What a DUFUS you are at times, Joe DeClueless!

You'd better go take a nap now. You are obviously lacking the awareness and cognizant capabilities that a normally awake person has.

Take some sustenance and get some rest.

Numbers mean tithes, or plate and pledge in TEC lingo, and without that, there is no way for TEC to support its "mission," whatever that mission may be.

Bullcrap!

The Gospel of Christ Jesus is first and foremost a matter of personal initiative, personal commitment and personal practice.

That IS the mission. "If thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of Light." This Light is sealed in the soul through the initiation of Baptism. Spiritual rebirth in this Light is the goal and substance of living in the Way of Christ. The character of this Light is Love.

Secondly, whenever or wherever "two or three are gathered together in my name, there shall I be also." This is the manifestation of what is called the Church or the Body of Christ. We mark its corporate life by celebrating the Eucharist.

Third, the life of a Christian is without merit if there is no act of compassion and understanding shown to the less fortunate and the needy, the lost, the outcast and the downtrodden among us, especially to those who are unjustifiably relegated to any hypocritical assignment of shame and guilt. Mercy and forgiveness and an unusual acceptance of the misunderstood are hallmarks of the Ministry of Jesus Christ. He is the example of what it should be to participate and to stand up for righteousness for all of us.

Numbers mean nothing at all, when the disciple of Jesus has his or her or their heart in the right place. The Episcopalian knows this to be true.

The rest will take care of itself.

That IS the mission ...
... but that isn't TEC's mission; in fact, Jesus is rarely referenced by your church's officials as a rationale for anything they do.

Oh, what a crock of stewed Baloney!

The Teachings, Ministry and Gospel of Jesus, the Christ is the entire rationale for EVERYTHING the members of TEC do.

That is why we go to Church, dummy!

But, Hey! What do I know? Maybe you don't go to TEC anymore because you never understood that about us. Or, maybe the Episcopal Church you went to was full of misguided hypocrites and bigots who jumped ship, absconded and scrammed, looking to board Peter Akinola's Anglican ship as it passed by.

Sheesh!

And was that betrayal part of God's will?

YES!

See how he can use liars like you?

God always wins, you always lose, it's obvious which side you are on....

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aquarius

You're very feisty and energetic and there's a lot you want to achieve. You'll get rather impatient if anyone stands in your way. A close emotional relationship will either be sexy and exciting beyond belief, or bad-tempered and tetchy. If you're in a grumpy mood, try to work out why - and what would improve matters. One thing that's bound to help is physical exercise, because it will burn off any excess nervous energy.
