The Pastor at the Nazarene church is Corbin Ky is convicted in Federal court of hiring illegals. He hides this from his church members and althought the DS has been informed nothing is done about it! That makes the church look bad!

I guess we should not blame the church for the mishap, it is the pastor to blame and may be the administration as alleged in the posting

The church of the Nazarene has a problem with authority and covering up the "sins" of their pastors and district leaders. This is a common problem in denominations, as we see the way the Catholic Church covered up their priest's sins.
I just don't know who they think they are protecting. God is big enough to deal with the truth so why do we keep covering up the truth. There is a verse in the Bible that says the truth will set us free. When the truth is covered up, no matter how ugly, it still sets us free and is always the best choice. God believes in accountability so why do the leaders of the Nazarene Church keep blocking that accounability?

What's wrong with providing work for illegal immigrants? Are we not called to Jubilee living? I think you miss out entirely on Christ's teachings when you allign yourself with the possessive, materialistic, nationalistic nature of the Empire that is the United States in lieu of the all inclusive, provisionary nature of the Kingdom of God. For shame.

The Church of the Nazarene is made up of people and ministered by people just like any other denomination, and because they are people, they sometimes lose sight of the mission of Christ and center it on themselves which leads to problems that inhibits the spread of Christ's word. Some of the problems are minor, some are major, some are criminal, some aren't, some are a sin of commission and some are a sin of ommission. We are called to live lives that are as Christlike, not perfect, because only Christ was perfect. We are in the process of "becoming", and because we are in that process, our humaness does come out, sometimes as purposeful sin, which needs to be punished, and honest mistakes, which needs to be acknowledged, and both of which needs to be forgiven. In that spirit, we should also be "other oriented" and not "self oriented", because that is the mission of Christ, to draw all people to him.... this is the mission of the Church of the Nazarene.... and the Baptists, the Lutherans, the Methodists, Freewill Baptists, Catholics etc. Regardless of denomination, we as believers are all commissioned to live lives that are holy, have relationships with others outside the "bubble" of the Church, and serve others.
