Because He had promised the Jewish King David that His Messiah would also be a 'Son' of his and both Mary and Joseph's bloodlines include different son's of Davids.

These accounts are summed up in the Catholic Encyclopedia, 1913 edition, which is available online, as follows:
“They lived forty-nine years together and had six children … A year after his wife’s death, as the priests announced through Judea that they wished to find in the tribe of Juda a respectable man to espouse Mary, then twelve to fourteen years of age, Joseph, who was at the time ninety years old, went up to Jerusalem among the candidates; a miracle manifested the choice God had made of Joseph …” ese accounts are accepted by the Eastern churches. The website of the Ukrainian Orthodoxy has an article on this subject entitled An Elderly Joseph which agrees with the presentation in the apocryphal writings “of Joseph as an elderly man, a widower with adult children”. It concludes:
“The Christian East’s picture of Joseph as a courageous, faithful, God-centred elderly widower rings true.”[14]
We give below, as Appendix, a quotation from one of these apocryphal books, The Infancy Gospel of James, describing how Mary’s husband was selected.
While the Western Christian churches may not accept these accounts as authentic, the Eastern churches in Europe do accept that Mary was 12 years old and Joseph a widower 90 years old when they married. Moreover, there is nothing in the Gospels of the New Testament to contradict these accounts, and the Gospel stories are not at all inconsistent with these ages for Mary and Joseph

LUKE 1:36-37 "And, behold, thy(Mary's) cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible."

The word 'also' is telling us she also concieved a child in her old age just like her cousin Elizabeth. They were both old in age.

Notice the next verse "For with God nothing shall be impossible." The miracle of the virgin birth is not that a virgin became pregnant, but that Mary was above the age of child-bearing, just like Elizabeth. her cousin. Rome took your eyes off the real miracle of Mary being an old woman past the age of child-bearing before she went to her legal husband Joseph as directed by Gabriel, to become pregnant and have a child as a virgin. This miracle is foreshadowed in the Old Testament by Sarah the wife of Abraham, who was also beyond the age of childbearing.(Genesis 18:12-13)

Since the bible was written 170 years after the death of Jesus and Jesus claimed he was God, by the bibles word, Jesus was his own father. Since he says he had sex with another mans wife, she was an adulteress and Jesus was, therefore, a bastard. You are worrying about whether he had and brothers and sisters? You guys should get your story straight and try again.
