Have you ever given it a thought about what one might be doing after the 1000 years on this Earth. Are we going to float on our own little fluffy cloud up in Heaven for the rest of eternity. What are your thoughts about this?

If revelation is to be believed the dead are judged, and you then get a new heaven and a new earth. IMO its all very allegorical and not to be taken literally, Peace

Invest in a book called "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn

Great Bible study...Randy uses scripture from everywhere to paint a picture what heaven will be like. I cannot say I agreed with everything he wrote...but it was only on minor stuff.

Heaven is going to be fantastic.

I told the Lord that if I was going to trust Him with today, and I was going to trust him to save my soul and give me eternal life, then I would also trust Him with eternity.

I have never been able to figure out why so many people seem to think that eternal life is somehow going to be worse than life is now...

That's funny. Last I checked the word of God says nothing about what Heaven will be like. How do you imagine this Randy Alcorn knows anything about it? HMMM. But according to you he uses scripture to paint a picture of what it will be like.

There are many books about Heaven, as well as Hell. But, unless you have visited these places how could you know what that experience will be like. The word only says hell is a place of torment with everlasting flames. How could one possibly have any further information reguarding this place, but they write books about it all the time, as well as Heaven.

It will be far worse for many. Most actually.

If it is allegorical then please explain it to us all so we might understand. Lots of people say it is and yet offer no interpretation and those that do have differing interpretations which in most cases are ridiculous. The word means what it says and says what it means.

After the 1,000 year reign, satan will be released a little season to again deceive the nations and THEN Armageddon.

After the judgment and eternity begins, the earth will be rejuvenated and things will be like it was before the fall of man, and it will NEVER be corrupted again because sin and all sinners, along with the devil and his angels, will be destroyed. They won't be off burning in a lake of fire somewhere, they will be GONE forever, as if they never existed.

But, we must also remember this verse,,

1Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Peace be with all my friends.

The thousand years is the symbolism used for a relatively long period of time. It refers to the time period between
my first coming, and my second coming.

Revelation 20

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Those who believe that my thousand year reign should still come, deny the first resurrection, my first appearance.

Revelation 9

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.(my conception, and physical birth)
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
bible(KJV)

See the connection, the bottomless pit :-)

The promise from God Almighty is that He will set up His Kingdom here on this Earth for 1000 years. Although this is not God’s Government and Kingdom at this time, it will be in a very few short years.

Notice Acts Ch 3: 20-21;

20; 21; “And that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you, before whom Heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things which God has spoken by the mouth of all Holy Prophets since the World began”.

Now Acts 15: 16; 17;

16; “After this I will return and will rebuild the Tabernacle of David which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and will set it up; so that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even the Gentiles who are called by my name says the Lord who does all things”.

Jesus Christ said that He Himself would return to this Earth to set up His Fathers Kingdom. What is wrong with that?

Jesus prayed,“Your Kingdom come”(Matthew 6:10 ;), and it was noted of Joseph of Arimathaea, whom himself was also waiting for the “Kingdom of God”(Luke 23:51 ;) In the Acts of the Apostle’s it is said many times that they,“preached the things concerning the Kingdom of God”.(Acts 8:12, 12:8, 20:25, 28:23)

If God’s Kingdom is this important to our faith then surely it demands our attention if we are to be true disciples. Jesus said,“Seek first The Kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you”.(Matthew 6:33 ;)

Jesus said that His Fathers Kingdom would be here on this Earth. If on can't except that then that is their problem. Evidently people don't like the idea of a Heaven On Earth when it is as plain as the nose on your face.

Hi 1InChrist - I'll explain my interpretation of Revelation, although be WARNED you may find the following post offensive.

Revelation is a bizarre vision of gore of a fevered Jewish mind in the 1st century AD.

The theology is undeveloped. No God of love here. Instead we have a God of wrath wiping out those daspargly Romans.

You see this guy 'John' is seriously narked off. The Romans have just wiped out all his friends and family.

So 'John' writes am angry letter. He starts off fairly low key, berating the local churches. Once he has dispensed with them, he launches into an unrelenting nightmare of gore and horror.

Those Roman baddies get tormented by demonic locusts, their flesh eaten by birds, and then cast in a lake of fire and brimstone.

This is an early letter in the Christian categolue. Jesus is bizarrely born in heaven and then comes to earth to kill unbelievers. This isnt the same guy who wrote the other letters assigned to John.

Anyway the world survived the 1st century. The heavenly warlord imagined by 'John' looked quite different to the other Jesus in the gospels. So this book almost didnt make the canon. But the RCC liked it so it was left in. Peace

Please cite where you got the idea from that this letter was written about Romans. As for the rest of your explaination you did'nt really explain anything now did you?

The theology appears undeveloped so therefore would support it being 1st century. Examples - No trinity of God. No Holy Spirit. A "spiritual Christ". No evidence 'John' knew Jesus of the gospels.

The world of 'John' is very Jewish - God of wrath. He seems very angry. The obvious target of his revenge IMO is the Romans.

Well I think I did. IMO its the best explanation going. That all of it is centered on 1st century AD and not the present day. And the theme is Jewish apocolytic. Not the Greek theology of the gospel writers. Peace

Yes, in your opinion. Greek theology? The greeks were philosophers. Where did you ever get the idea they were theologians? Your opinion is very warped. You dont understand history apparently. I have never heard of any greek theology.Your opinion of this scripture is I'm sure got something to do with the symbology used in the book of Revelation which I believe is'nt symbology at all, but actual beings which will be released upon the earth. If they are symbolic then what about the descriptions of angels as well as God on the throne?

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Pisces

The last thing you want to do is to picking over every little thing. Instead, you have one eye permanently on the clock and you're trying to cram as many activities into the day as possible. This will be good fun and you'll enjoy keeping up the momentum, but beware of a possible tendency to become reckless or to try to cut corners in order to save time, because this will be self-defeating in the long run.
