A lot of people believe in the trinity. They believe there is one God, who is made up of three persons: God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Ghost.
My question is, What is God? I know what The Bible say he is, but as a trinity believer, if you are one of those, what do you think God is? Could it be possible that you see God as the Government? Government: Three Branches 1. Judicial Branch 2. Legislative Branch 3. Executive Branch God: Three Persons 1. Father 2. Son 3. Holy Ghost The Bible is very clear as to who God is, who Jesus is and who/what The Holy Ghost is. If you are willing, we can go to The Bible and find out. Lets search the scriptures. The answers are in The Bible. Who's up to learning what God's truth says? Christians are suppose to get to know God for themselves, and no Christian can get to know God, without learning about him via The Bible. People in The Bible heard preaching, but that didn't stop them from going to the scriptures to find out if they were being told the truth. |

God is the ultimate personality.
He is infinitely wise, infinitely powerful, and infinitely present. I don't know if you have heard of S.M. Lockridge, but I like to share this link occasionally. http://www.youtube.com/watch... |

This is very true. (But wasn't that video neat?) Where you just wanting to have a fellowship kind of discussion? Or did you have a question about the Trinity? One of the things I had to get used to on here, is the time factor between posts. So to make this a productive use of time, there are several things God does not know, and cannot do. #1 - God cannot lie. #2 - God does not know everything.(If someone is to reject so great a Salvation, God has no idea how to save that person.) #3 - God cannot learn.(Whenever I stumble in my Christian walk, it does not surprise God. He knew I would do that from the beginning of time. The person it surprises, is me!) You're going to find that there are very few people on this Forum (with exceptions) who give a rats whisker about what the Bible says. But I believe the Bible 100%. My Bible and Concordance are ready. Looking forward to your next post. |

1 There is no word "Trinity" in the Bible in any version of any language. Jesus never taught this pagan 'Trinity' myth. |

1 John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Jesus is the Son of God. 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. John 6:69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus is "the Word" of God in human form. 1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Jesus is the "power" and "wisdom" of God in human form. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. |

What do you believe? Are you Trinitarian or do you believe Jesus is the Father? |

1 Most Christians do not know that "Allah" is the personal name of God that Jesus (peace be upon him) used to call when he prayed. Jesus spoke Aramaic (not Arabic). "Oh God" = "YA ALAAH" (in aramaic: the mother tongue language of Jesus). ALAAHAA (in aramaic)= God Check for yourself in this Christian Aramaic website http://www.learnassyrian.com/aramaic/church/c... Also, The original name in the Bible for GOD is not "Yahweh". It is "Allah". See the proofs from Jewish and Christian sources http://www.answering-christianity.com/allah1.... In fact, Arabic speaking Jews in Morroco and Arabic speaking Christians use the word Allah when refering to God. Scholars are unanimous in that Jesus spoke the language of Aramaic (not Arabic). What is the word for God in Aramaic? it is Alaah or Alaaha (depends on it poisition in the sentence). For anyone interested in proof please purchase the Lamsa Bible (translated from Aramaic) by George M Lamsa. ROMAN CATHOLIC BISHOP WANTS EVERYONE TO CALL GOD 'ALLAH' HTTP://WWW.FOXNEWS.COM/STORY/0,2933,293394,00... ========== "Say: He is Allah, the One and Only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; And there is none like unto Him. (The Noble Quran 112) [Mar 12:29] Jesus answered, "The most important is,'Hear, O Israel, the Lord OUR God is ONE Lord" |

1 Excellent Post! In the beginning, the Being{God}, spoke{power} what He created into existence and His Spirit{wisdom} moved before He spoke. He thought and He created what He thought. Since we humans are in His image as soul, body, and spirit, wouldn't it be reasonable to say that speech and thought proceeds from our head just they do from God's head? Isn't Jesus the fullness of the Godhead in human flesh and bone? God's Word in a human body revealing the mind of God= God with us. For no other reason could Jesus say, " I came out from God." For no other reason could Jesus say, "My Father is greater than I." For no other reason could Jesus say, "I came out from thee." For no other reason could Jesus say, "...glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." For no other reason could Jesus say, "He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him{the actual Speaker to begin with} that sent me." Yes, Jesus is Revelation 19:13; and it is so fitting that due to human rejection and disbelief of God's Word in the beginning, that to be reconciled back to the Creator, one needs to accept and believe His Word{the only key[John 14:6]that fits the salvation lock}. |

1 God isn't three persons at all. There are three forms of God, but not three "persons." God sent His Word, in human form, by His Spirit. That's not three people, or "persons." God transformed His power and teaching into a human, that's Jesus. God did this transformation by His Spirit. God and Jesus are one by the His Spirit. Jesus is the Son of God. John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. |

1 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. Luke 3:21-22 Jesus was the only "person." God sent the Holy Ghost down to Jesus after He was baptized. God, our Father says to the Son of God, "Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. |

AMEN!! 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him Genesis 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 1 Corinthians 11:7 |

1 This is what happens when someone breathes in too much methane from farting. They end up not being able to think straight. I recommend a gas mask, in an attempt to stop the depletion of brain cells before the last 19 cells are gone. |

Franky, I don't believe in the trinity, because God is not a trinity. Jesus is not God. Jesus is God's son. |

A lot of people think that Son of God = God the Son and that's not true.
