Here is something powerful that separates, distinguishes Buddhism from all other sects:

My teaching is this, that the slightest act of charity, even in the lowest class of persons, such as saving the life of an insect out of pity, that this act ... shall bring to the doer of it consequent benefit.—T'sa-ho-hom-king.

In other words, doing even the slightest good, the practicing Buddhist merit will be magnified. This is not the case with People belonging to other religions, the doing of small deeds of good will only earn so much merit... for a Buddhist these small acts of good deeds will be multiplied, magnified!!!

So just imagine the magnification of great deeds!!!

So just imagine the magnification of great deeds!!!
It is true that doing small deed it will get magnified many many times, just look at Bill Gates, Google guys, Facebook guy, all are young and super wealthy beyond anything ever imagined due to their past lives earning good merits.
BUT, and here the kicker, BAD deed will also multiply many many times too.

I stated that which separates Buddhism from other religions.

Bill Gates is not a practicing Buddhist and knows nothing about magnifying merit.

Buddhism is about changing now, not about your past life, and allows the smallest merit to be magnified now, making a true Buddhists knowledge greater than anything Bill Gates will ever have.

More on how the Buddha Dharma alone magnifies even a small good deed that you might have done to transport you to salvation!

Nagarjuna writes

The smallest roots of good related to Buddha spring up as great Trees of Blessing. I earn merit by virtue. I transfer this merit, and in so doing earn more merit, which I transfer and so on \to infinity!

Thinking of the merits of the Buddha.
He is the surest refuge. His name is the seed of deliverance.

The Mahakarmavibhanga will go further; narrating the legend of the young and poor Malini, it says:
She gave a garland of straw to the monument of Sugata, and she gained the best of garlands of gold and precious stones, the garland of the Members of the Illumination
(translated Sylvain Lévi, pp. 148 - 149)

Ashvaghosha :
Even if you possess no more than a grain of worthiness, you must look to Buddha for your salvation. A man of little merit appealing to Buddha receives ambrosia from him. hence, let us wholeheartedly take refuge in the Buddha. For another text attributed to Asvaghosa, CB Hobogirin, I. p. 25.

Sutra of Nagasena (in Chinese: Nasien King), a Chinese version of the Milinda-panha :

Menander of the Greeks, still sceptical, questions the old monk Nagasena:

You say: Men who in one existence have done evil for up to a hundred years, if they think of the Buddha at the moment of death 33 will all obtain after death rebirth in Heaven above. I cant accept that.

You say furthermore: Let one kill a single living being, and at death he must go to hell (niraya). I cant accept that.

Then Nagasena asked the Kind: If you take a little pebble, and lay it on the surface of the water, O King, will it float or sink? The King replied: The pebble will sink. Nagasena went on: If you take a hundred boulders, and lay them on a boat, O King, will the boat sink? It will not, the king said.

Nagasena explained: On account of the boat, the hundred boulders laid on it do not sink. Although a man have a thoroughly bad karma, let him think once of the Buddha, and on account of this thought he will not go to hell, but will be reborn in Heaven. The little pebble which sinks to the bottom is like a man doing evil and ignorant of Buddhas sutra: after death, he will go to hell.

Even if their good deeds within the Buddhadharma amount to as little as a strand of hair, a drop of water, a grain of sand, or a mote of dust, I will gradually take them across, liberate them, and help them gain great benefit. Kshitigarbha sutra.

Name Amitabha Buddha. The efficacy of this formula of homage derives from the powers of the Buddha which exist as product of this perfection. The efficacy is communicated, so the formula is the line of communication, the telegraph wire between the Buddha and the devotee.
believe in Me with serene thoughts

should there be any difference between gods and men
Thinking of the merits of the Buddha.

The US says "In God we trust" however a Buddhist says, "in Goodwill we trust"

For truly, it is the goodwill we create amongst ourselves and others that truly keeps us safe!

The Dalai Lama has been lying about the situation in China and demonising it. He has also not been able to keep the secret of the black money which he received from the Aum sect ( sarin ) which is why Japan will never have him back. He has lied many times and played the retirement game so often that few take him seriously. Lastly, he has lied that he is the leader of the Gelukpas. He may have been the Theocratic king of Tibet under a feudal system but the spiritual leader of the Gelukpa is the Gaden Tripa as this is the throne of Je Tsongkpha and the founder of the Gelukpas. The term Dalai Lama is a chinese term which by using is a tacit acceptance of Chinese imperial historical rule. All the other Buddhist sects have their own leader which is why without Tibet , he has no spiritual authority to stand on. Furthermore, he has lied regarding Dorje Shugden who is the deity who saved his life and he practiced it until the age of 40 . To abandon a practice conferred by your Guru is a shocking lack of guru devotion which is one of the major pillars of Tibetan Buddhism. he has also lied that there are no repercussions for those who continue to pray to the Shugden. This is not true as the NKT has tons of evidence of this subterfuge. Those who are found to be Shugden by his spies are beaten, ostracised and deprived of foood , shelter and clothing. We all know how difficult the life of the poor is from Slumdog millionaire even for a native Indian. Consider the extreme creuelty to a Tibetan who can even speak Hindi in such a situation. This is the reason why so many tibetans are running back to China. Lama Gangchen has been setting up monasteries in china which allows the practice of shugden and the lucky one who manage his clutches like Gehe Kelsang Gyatso of the NKT has the protection of British citizenship. This is the dark side of Dalai Lama which he tries to hide from the world which is impossible with all the videos of the Shugdens being beaten up by his thugs in the internet age. It is time for a change and it is good news that the meeting with Obama has been postponed , and he will be leaving through the back dooor next to the bin. He continues to demonise china despite having killed thousands of Chinese in collaboration with the CIA in the past and is now posing a veiled threat as regards the monastery using metamilitary terms such as possible escalation and restraint instead of the simple word, stop or you wil be excomunicated as the Chinese have given you foood , shelter clothing as well as fed you. It's time for a change.

Verse 355:

355. An enlightened person is naturally endowed with a compassionate nature and disposition. He desires to alleviate the suffering that beings suffer, and is even willing to relinquish his own body or life to do so. Until he reaches his goal, he is willing to struggle and strive for a very long time on a course involving great hardship, without fear and without ever becoming disenchanted with all the suffering in the round of existence, all for the sake of the welfare of other beings.

Verse 360:

360. Since I went forth
From home into homelessness
I have not been aware of having
Any ignoble or hateful thoughts, such as:

"May they be killed, may they be slaughtered,
May they come to harm."
Such thoughts have not crossed my mind
For a long time.

On the contrary, I am aware of thoughts of love,
Infinite, well-developed,
Practised in due order
As taught by the Buddha.

I am a friend to all, a helper to all,
Sympathetic to all beings.
I develop a mind full of love
And delight always in harmlessness.

I gladden my mind
Which is immovable and unshakable.
I develop the divine states
Not cultivated by evil men.

Suppose an enemy has hurt you In his own domain. Why should you annoy yourself And hurt your mind in your domain?

In tears you left your family, They who were kind and helpful always. So why not leave behind your enemy And the anger that brings so much harm?

This anger which you embrace Eats away at the very roots Of all the virtues you strive to develop. Who would be such a fool?

Someone else does evil deeds And you get angry. Why? Do you wish to copy him And act as he does?

Suppose someone, to annoy, Provokes you to do some evil act. Why allow anger to arise and thus Do exactly as he wants you to do?

If you get angry Then maybe he will suffer, maybe not. But by feeling anger yourself You certainly do suffer.

If enemies blinded by anger Are content to walk the path of woe, Do you wish to follow them By getting angry yourself?

If a foe provokes you To hurt yourself by getting angry, Let that anger subside. Do not harm yourself needlessly.
