Very interesting video. It was quite moving to see such "hardened criminals" practice Vipassana and even see some of them cry. One can't help but wonder what kind of transformation they had to have experienced.

Growing up within the punk rock subculture, I found this video extremely amusing:

And, of course, there is this one:

The daughter of one of the inmates was killed... He actually found out who it was and instead of condeming the murderer he wanted the criminal to get help like he got-- now that's transformation!

If you're one of those Buddhists who thinks"gee, golly, wiz, I sure would love to know more about the true Dharma, if only there was a cartoon on it"

Yup! If only there were cartoons made based on the sutras, you might do some of that chanting!

Well, here it is, the Smaller Sukhavativyuha Sutra CARTOON!

Dharma cartoons are awesome! Check out the trailer for Osamu Tezuka’s new animated moved about Buddha. It looks pretty epic: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Since you mentioned the Mahayana Smaller Sukhavativyuha Sutra, here's a cool mantra I stumbled across: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Here's another cool rap song about being a faithful Bodhisattva: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

On the opposite end of the musical spectrum is one of my favorite Dharma-inspired bands, Kylesa. According to theaquarian.com , "The name Kylesa is a deliberate misspelling of ‘kilesa mara,’ which is a Buddhist term defined as ‘anything that would hinder one from reaching enlightenment or nirvana, such as greed, aversion, or delusion.’ Those negative aspects of life are what influences Kylesa’s music, which integrates bits of sludge, punk, metal, effects, and heavy guitars to create an avant-garde experimental sound fused with psychedelic rock." Their music video for "Where The Horizon Unfolds" can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Here's another 3D animation about mediation, using "the fly" as a metaphor.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Virgo

Life catches you unawares today but for once you don't really mind. A friend is likely to ring up with an exciting suggestion or you could receive a spur of the moment invitation that's too good to refuse. An interesting encounter is also on the cards, especially when you're brought together through unusual circumstances.
