Educated What is a Discovery Institute Creationist

What does it mean when religious groups gang together and pay for anti-atheist campaigns online?
Forums posts, slanted blogs - the dirty world of religious propoganda is what I'm talking about. Not the crazies who copy and paste, but the malicious.
Who are the people that are willing to lie about another group for money?
How can they reconcile their dishonesty with their assumed religious beliefs?
We have all seen godbots - crazy people who lose all arguments, because they are crazy.
But theism is big business. These cults are getting smarter and employ PR people to "spin" science questions away and spread their propaganda through the press.
The most active appears to be the Discovery Institute.
Even though this is an Atheist forum, we should expect believers from all faiths to come by and try to indoctrinate us.
However we get high proportion of Discovery Institute Creationists.
People like the infamous Buck Crick, Educated What, Grameen Ferox (aka Educated What).
Some of these propoganda posters will assume an atheist identity and attempt to draw atheist fundies out of the woodwork (none have fallen for it yet)
Some create "cute" personalities to try and hide their Creationist potshots (nanoanomaly).
I want to try and understand this class of 'human being" and I use the term loosely.
What makes a human being compromise their principles and become a universal lying machine?

Their belief that lying for Jesus is perfectly acceptable! The ends justifies the means!

It's true and I actually get a kick out of how hard Christians and other wacky religions are working against a supposed minority. Why are we worth so much effort unless they felt threatened?

This is an important point. To lie so openly and shamelessly is what I find amazing.

Yes exactly. I do like you starting this thread I think we've spent enough time playing ask an atheist the same question 1000 times, get a logical answer that you can't refute and then ask again. Time to go on offense. I mean look at them getting so angry they actually threaten people! Seriously if a forum gets you so upset you are reduced to threatening people it's time you step back and look at yourself.

why do you assume that they have principles contrary to what they are doing? your principles allow you to slander people, and I do not think you have sold out in so doing - I think you are being true to yourself and your views. If you would document your charges it might help. one only knows when you are slandering onesself, and not when you are slandering others. your accusatory style makes you suspect, and weakens your case - especially since you seem to specialize in providing no proof for your accusations. it would be a pity if you are like the little boy who cried wolf too many times, and the last time it is a wolf. we would like to be warned by a messenger whom we can trust, and who documents his warnings sufficiently. you accuse and accuse, and where is your proof? same with your statement that there is no god. where is your proof? you must make assertions. it could be that you are correct, but it would not be because you have proof or evidence, it would be just a good guess.

people like you weaken the case you try to make, by being obscene and by being a false accuser in one instance. you have to be a good boy all the time to be believable, and you have to document your accusations. try it, you might be smart enough to do it. can you find out who the folks are who are trained to do this propaganda for the Discovery folks? many of us would be delighted if you could prove it. it would serve as a fair warning then, and not as alarmist wild accusations. I do not think BC has many principles to sell out, and Ithink he would rave on even if not paid by anyone. that is just my guess.
