Judged: 3 2 2 <quoted text> Ah a fallicious resort to infantilism. Typical atheist reasoning. Atheism logic and young earth creationism logic are very similar. They tend to move in circles and go into all sorts of fallicious places. Keep up the deception atheists. After all everything is ultimately meaningless in your worldview *wink**wink* |

I began a similar thread: http://www.topix.com/forum/religion/atheism/T... I think highlighting the goofy things theists say is probably a better approach. Kudos. Feel free to farm any applicable quotes from that thread. |

Judged: 2 1 1 Soon before you posted this, that rabidly pro-Israel moron "mtlonewolf" posted this idiocy: ---------- Gotta wonder how badly those poor Gazans needed all that cement to feed their starving families...tee hee hee! ---------- Laughing at the fact that human beings are starving to death. Laughing at the fact that children have no schools because they have been bombed. Laughing at the fact that hospitals have been destroyed and what few remain don't have any medicine or equipment to treat the injured and sick. Wow, there's a classy human being, huh? There's nothing more heart worming (not a typo) than a sick fuck laughing at people living in terror and misery. |

Deoxyribonucleic Acid, for example... sounds impressive, right? But have you ever seen what happens if you put something in acid? It dissolves! If we had all this acid in our cells, we'd all dissolve! So much for the Theory of Evolution, Check MATE!" |

Here's the latest from Mr. Backwoods, I mean Arkansas --
"Let's see.....that scripture is dealing with stoning a witch.....if GOD said it(and HE did)then its truth whether i "abide by it" or not.....and of course its morally right(GOD commanded it); HE is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords! HE knows more about morality than every human that existed from the beginning of time....(shakes head from side to side)...and as far as abiding by it.....there's no need.....i have come across any witches lately......" whiskey-tango-foxtrot??? |

mike_lee, This is a classic:-
It's impossible to make someone who doesn't believe in anything look stupid. You can only perceive what you might feel if a whole lot of conditions were reversed. I'd bet my house, my guitars and my life on gravity' side. But nothing stands by itself. Gravity has not been establish by scientific method because they would have to first prove many things that gravity sits atop, like atmosphere, the precise magnetic pulls from space and so forth. Is gravity a scientific proof if the earth implodes? No because gravity will need to be re-proven until they can precisely say what unknown forces will predictably do in any circumstances. You cannot prove gravity by one planet filled with unknown variables. Thus it remains and will remain a theory of the first class, but nonetheless a theory. And anyway Hawking is what you offer as science? You know when I learned science was full of shit, sophomore science. It's almost laughable I'd love to find that propaganda text i studied in elementary school Now I am an competent in one discipline, it's this that makes it obvious to me how silly the claims of science are. In order to gain this basic overview of theory I went 5 days a week for 1 credit, every semester for all 4 years of college I studied theory. Music theory is at the top part of what one man is capable of understanding and explaining. There is nothing possible that cannot be accounted for mathematically. I held this discipline together for about a week into my first position, then music went back to being music. |
I explained to mike that he could find his old 'textbook; in the nightstand drawer of every hotel room. LOL |

Ah! Somehow I missed that post, which was an answer to my question, or rather an evasion. Thanks for posting it here so I can go back and post a followup question. |

I saw this today, and I shit you not, it's REAL.
http://i.imgur.com/4hfC6.jpg It is an ACTUAL PAGE from a "science book" published by Bob Jones University (a place so reichwing and rabidly religious it makes Billy Graham look reasonable). It was on PZ Myers' Pharyngula blog. http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/ |
