Kids should not be punished or handicapped. Whther we have single faith schools is a seperate question. SO far they have shown good results, especially the Catholic ones. Will single faith muslim schools be just as good? There needs to be regulation by the government to ensure that the social values of this country are well taught with a good focus on science, and equal education of boys and girls.

In an area which has lost it's RC population, it makes no sense to devote church resources if most of the school population is not of the faith. That is exactly what has happened here.

In good old Vatican style, they are supposed to be a cash cows. So, the heading statement confuses me a little? Are we taking of a school that used to be private Catholic School and it has changed hands - like many a corner store does weekly throughout the Kingdom? Or are the Muslims now running private schools for the more affluent followers of Islam? Or is it still a Catholic School but 95% of the boys just happen to be called Mohammed. Clearly, I am not up with the news on this amazing revelation? In fact, I am wondering why it is news at all?

It is this sort of use of public money which could be used for divisive education that needs to be monitored and regulated by local education authorities. I'm afraid as much as I sympathise for muslims in this country, their communities have not reached sufficient maturity to be allowed to edeucate the young any which way they like. When it can been shown that the communities can control their extremists and avoid the Wahabist type influence on religious education, the situation may be reviewed - but we're some way off that at the moment imho.

Bradford already has a Muslim majority population; soon more towns & cities will follow. What will the demographic scene be like in UK, in 25 years? Maybe UK should colonise Pakistan again & swap populations; let in the entire population of that country into UK while we move there! Pakistan has beautiful mountains (skiing & vineyards) and a warm coast (Costa del karachi) plus it is a bigger country...!
