McCain's "Spiritual Guide": America was "Founded, in Part, to See Islam Destroyed"

Barack Obama's image has been tarnished by his past association with Rev. Wright, although he's since distanced himself from Wright (interestingly, despite the publicity over this many still believe Obama to be a Muslim). It turns out that John McCain has a similar problem, with the pastor he has called his "spiritual guide."

This is why McCain won't try to say Obama is responsible for the words of his Pastor because McCain doesn't want to be responsible for his Pastor's words.

...and I agree.

McCain also said he would not repudiate anything Hagee said or preached. So lets add alot of gay penises in a locale causes catastrophic hurricanes :-) McCainiacs are about to get their due. Get ready boys - what goes around comes around. Mr. Family values and his evangelical advisor get their 15 minutes of fame. and then fizzle away like an alka-seltzer.

So you believe that neither Mr. McCain nor his camp knew anything then about Mr. Hagee’s views when they accepted his endorsement when he needed conversative votes to defeat Huckabee

Bvllsh1t. That was his preacher for 20 years.

But Mr. McCain says he does not endorse any of Mr. Hagee’s calumnies, any more than Barack Obama endorses Mr. Wright’s.

But those who try to give Mr. McCain a pass for his embrace of a problematic preacher have a thin case. It boils down to this: Mr. McCain was not a parishioner for 20 years at Mr. Hagee’s church

I hear crazy nonsense from every pulpit. Unless one of them is running for office, people need to stop attaching so much importance to what Wright or Hagee believe or say.

If you believe your candidates should be blindly loyal to their religious leaders, I sure hope you don't vote.

In this clip, I hear McCain calling Hagee a "moral compass and a spiritual guide." Not the same as saying Hagee is his PERSONAL pastor who married him, baptised his kids, whose church he is a 20+ year member of, whom he's had a close personal spritual relationship with, or that Hagee's like an uncle to him.

And if you don't know that the Muslims who've hijacked Islam in the Middle East and Central Asia are out to destroy other religions and peoples, you're clueless.

Nice try, though.

Oh let's see what Mr. Family Values has in his closet. Better yet let's see what he already admits to. Moron would be a kind word for McCainiac - criminal sociopath a better one. George his mentor and friend of the Bin Laden Family. Hagee, Parsley, and how many other idiots he believes in. Elmer the Fudd wonder kidd begging to be his VP. Liberal, COnservative, Independent - will this fun guy ever make up his mind about anything? Mr. Sybil runs for President - hides clueless as to what his other identities are doing. They could be breaking the law, they could be cheating on his wives, they could be selling out America to the highest bidder or just shopping for cute rugs in Baghdad while our sons and daughters die. Could be eliminating Veterans care since we should only care about him being a veteran and a hero. An American hero who valiantly fought the war inside a POW camp and forgets he was only one of many - ready to continue to screw our present day vets and servicemen. Sexist at large - but then he's a republican - that's to be expected. Damn. What a man I would choose for a Presidential candidate - even JohninLA likes him. That should be scary enough for everyone to turn ass and run.

calling him a "moral compass" says a lot.=, I don't think he needs to say he is his personal moral compass

This clip seems to show a speaking event where Hagee has just introduced McCain. Trying to make the case that the words used by McCain in this clip makes his relationship with Hagee the same as Obama's relationship with Wright is ridiculous.

If there's more to the story, and McCain IS that close to Hagee, let's see it.

On top of it all, Hagee, in this clip, is attacking the Muslim population that is bent on wiping out non-muslims. Hagee is not insinuating in any way that any part of America is responsible for purposefully trying to oppress or destroy another part of America.

If Hagee does that as part of his church ministry, let's see it.

Let's just keep it real...

Why are we judging these candidates by their spiritual advisors, who will surely be forgotten. Bush prayed with Billy Graham, and that was his spiritual advisor. I happen to like Billy Graham, but a lot of this is for show and it stops once they gain the whitehouse. These advisors hope the door doesn't hit them where the sun doesn't shine. They don't remain in a prominent position. I don't care who Obama, McCain or even Bush for that matter listens to for spiritual advice. When it comes to the whitehouse, congress has the last word.

And the difference is what?

Now mind you, if you answer this you have to come back with something that acutally makes sense!

The interesting part is that "Mother Jones" is a big supporter of both the IRA and the PLO. As a matter of fact you can find a link between the two in "Mother Jones".
Here's a good question for Obama. Ask him if he ever read "Mother Jones" and what he thought of it.

If McCain says yest to Hagee, he says YES to the money that Hagee's flock will contribute to his bid for the White House. Let's remember that nobody is close to the money that Obama has raised. Of course McCain is going to say yes to the bucks he needs to campaign.

This is greed over principal. This is why McCain is not right for the office. The man in office has already demonstrated the same principals putting the earnings of big business over the needs of the people.
