Actually, I do. The people around me know me, and either understand me or not. It's their choice. A few people think, when first meeting me, that it's condescending, but after they know me and understand that I just talk like this, they make their own decisions. I am not going to change my speech patterns for you, Nomo, because you find them offensive. I am in this thread to defend the Church. And I do it without trying to defend, and when I do try to "crack wise," it comes back to haunt me. So I don't.

I have no visions of me trying to convert you or your ilk. But I will not stand here and let you lie about my Church. And I will not be brought down to some people's level to play in the mud with the people that trade insults.

So, I know you and Haw Haw are probably highly intelligent, respected, loving people that have feel that they have been somehow damaged by people in the LDS Church. Or that people they know, love or respect have. And this sets you up, somehow, as enemies of the Church.

I just stand here and will weather your fire, for it doesn't harm me. I will stand here, not afraid to tell you when I think you are wrong, or correct, because I have no fears for my testimony.

I do not have to follow the LDS Church "party line" because I know what happens when people in large groups develop their own "party planks."

So my communication style is me. Call it condescending if you wish, my experience is that when I change it to be more "culturally contemporary" I fail badly. Like it or don't.
