Nowhere in the Bible is homosexuality condemned. Jesus himself spoke quite highly of homosexuals in Matthew 19:12 when He speaks of the eunuchs born that way. He was also quite impressed with the (gay) Roman Centurion as well.

Homosexuality is quite natural. It shows up in over 1,500 species.

I'll try, without invective. First, it turns out there's a city of Edmonds, WA, near Seattle. But I'm not from there, I didn't move to Seattle til '93. I couldn't be just "Edmond" on Topix, cuz somebody already took it, so I stuck WA on the end. The name has a different personal meaning for me. So I guess we're just neighbors, instead of homeys.

But I won't discuss god's opinion on the matter, it doesn't interest me. He doesn't shape national policy. He doesn't have to live by our laws, I do. The Constitution is the highest authority I'll allow appeals to.

I don't have to look at a single book to know that you've misread the data. All those debilitating diseases you're worried about are brought on by careless, UNPROTECTED sex, NOT by GAY sex. I've been having gay sex for over 20 years, and I'm disease free. Further, when you see statistics like those in the gay population, it's always the men, not the women. This is because men are dogs, and will hump anything. "Gay" is not "causing" any of those diseases, or it would happen to the gay women, too. Gay men should be better educated in the dangers of unsafe sex, but so should straight men and women, because they're out there catching diseases too. It's unfortunate that religiously motivated people find it necessary to suppress contraceptives and sexual education, because those things really help.

More religious beliefs I have no obligation to subscribe to. Some Christians support gay rights, some don't, there's no consensus. But you would unleash some invective too, if you were being told that your RELIGION barred you from marrying or serving your country. Gay people have a RIGHT to be angry. But don't mistake people's behavior online with what they're like in the real world. You only see their anonymous passions here. Those t-shirts are just jokes, like irony, like saying “how does it feel?”.
