The Bin Laden family and the House of Saud has been funneling moneys to the "cause" and they're despot father Osama.
This is just another simplified tactic to play both ends.

Seems to me that the only time I heard about Osama Bin Laden talking about a truce was when he said a couple of years back that the only way there would be one was if the United States became a Muslim nation. Or at the very least, admit that his father is a murderer. There is probably nothing he could say or do to convince people that he is not like his father. These people have this mentality and belief in their blood.
