So Long, If Ford thinks they have something with Robby Gordon they must be fooling themselves.

Chevrolet just lost their best driver, but only a true insider really would ever admit it...and they are this morning here at the beakfast meeting. It's a shame that a driver must conform and be a yes-man-robot to get help from our development team.

The #7 is back in the Ford stable.....now if he could just get a Hooters sponsorship.....

Now if he would only switch careers. As a representative of America competing in the Dakar Rally, he is the poorest example of an American myself and many other off-roaders can think of. It's a shame.

It is an interesting turn of events to see him back with Ford after having kicked the logo on his Indycar many years back. Wonder if he will still drive Dale Jr.'s Busch car after this?

Gee, I kind of thought that for a single car effort, and no real support, he has done good for himself...Granted he is no angel, but who is???Maybe the Ford thing will work out for all parties involved...

Certainly the most underrated driver in NASCAR despite the fact that both of the Earnhardts saw his ability (and both hired him to drive their cars). One of a very very few to win in both Indycar and NASCAR. More comparable to Tony Stewart than most people would care to admit, but with less equipment and assistance. Independence comes with a heavy price ...

Earl, you are right on! I failed to mention Robby's relationship with the Earnhardts...It was Dale Sr. who first noticed Robby in the IROC series, and the job at RCR followed years later...

RCR DEI Fan wrote: Im so glad Robby is leaving the Bowtie, i think he's brought enough shame to it as it is, he can go back to kicking his Blue Oval again, which he really did last time he drove one! See, there is a difference between Alan and Robby, Alan was a champ and a great racecar driver, and Robby well, he never has been or will be, just trying to be a copycat and will fail miserably doing so. I was so glad he left RCR, and he's an idiot for doing so, but i find it funny that Ford fans embrace him. Ford lost Mark Martin, Jarrett and Sadler after this year and they gain Robby, yea that's a great trade up! let me guess, "RCR DEI Fan" the only kind of real racing is nascar racing. robbly has won in every other series he has raced in. IROC, rolex, darkar, truck, cart, nascar, bikes, karts, dirts, you name it. "just a copycat" then that makes dale jr a copycat for following his daddy, and doing the same thing his daddy did. get a clue, robby left RCR because he wanted to run his own shop, his way. win or lose he will do it his way. in nascar world where you have to won 3 or 4 cars and grease the pockets of nascar to get what you want. iam so sick of hearing this crap the the only rela race car driver is a nascar driver. get a life!!! all the these so called nascar driver, watch F1, and open wheel racing, and given a chance they will race anything with 4 or 2 wheels on it, for the right price!! robby is not out there to make friends with everyone, he is out there to live his dream of being a car owner and driver!!!

And to me, yes, Nascar is the only true kind of racing. It's a team sport without the help of computers in the car DURING raceday. It's a driver having to communicate with his team on the changes, not just pressing a button and it's fixed. Nascar is the only true sport, to hell with all the others! robby has won in nascar all ready. which is more that i can say for some of the driver in the nextel series. come on open your eyes to the big world of racing, its a beautiful place. 90% of nascar drivers watch irl, cart, rolex and le mans series, and F1 ( and they would give there left nut to drive an F1 car just once) even your hero dale sr. went to race in the rolex series, and was quoted in saying when he retires he is going to run the rolex series full time. sound like he enjoyed the thought of turning right. i understand you have to be true to your sport, and not the computer racing. because you can relate to the cars in nascar, with your computer driven, fuel injected car at your house?? come on upen your mind to the world of racing. there is some good racing out there

Okay, i guess you rode the little yellow schoolbus to school, or maybe you were describing yourself when talking bout a lonely fat kid? Or since i cant tell if your male or female by your name, it's kinda hard to tell much or maybe your confused if your a guy or girl! Wow. you sound super smart. The only people who think Indy/F1 cars can be fixed with the push of a button during a race are backward rednecks. Hey bubba, put your teeth in and go kiss your sister again.

It would be cool to do some retro- in memory of- cars on the track, just for special races. Have Jr. run a black #3. Someone could run a 28 Havoline car in memory of Davy.
