Don't worry about "Flash Gordon" if the Hummer keeps on humming he will be in the top 5 if not the winner.

Jeff Gordan is the biggest whine boy in nascar. I used to be a 24 fan but I cant stand his crying about any thing that does not go his way. Robby Gordon is a real racer

The thing about the Dakar is every corner is different and the driving has to be done very instinctually, there is no driving from memory here. Robbie has done very well in the Baja 1000, this is no different. Your a hero just competing in it.

Robby Gordon is a wannabe stock car driver that his only claim to fame is screwing over his own team mate to get the win. It would suit 99.9999% of real stock car racing fans if he went back to open wheel or off road and stayed. His efforts in NASCAR are a waste of sponsorship dollars.

Check his forum( if you can find it )and you'll see what deadwood looks like. He's had 5 hits on it since Dec 22. What a fan base. Wow, they really, really love him.

Couldn't have said it better...SO True! Believe it was Dale Jr. that called him a "moving chicane".

How do you guys have so much animosity towards each other over a driver? They all drive the exact same car on the same tracks.
Hell Michael Schumacher stopped during Qualifying at the Monaco F1 race for the sole purpose of making his competitors behind him have to slow down and post bad qaulifying times. F1 fans ate it up, Schumacher fan or not.

Frustrated Jimmie and Jeff fans raining in on Robby Gordon's parade? Do Jimmie and Jeff have their own teams? No!
Let's see here: Robby races NASCAR, Indy, Off-Road, and now paves his own way as an owner/driver?
Incredible man that Robby Gordon!

Okay, don't ordinarily respond to people who can only stereotype others, but here we go...first off, read the original post, how did we like "one of our own?" to which, Big Dog replied that Robby Gordon is NOT one of our own (and I agree). Robby Gordon is a very talented driver (although I think saying he is the best on the planet is a little bit of a stretch), but not necessarily in a stock car. I believe he should consider that stock cars may not be his forte'. With regards to your comments about Dale, Jr. letting him drive the 88 Navy car...please check your facts, the regular driver for the 88 car was Shane Huffman. NASCAR had not approved his driving on courses of 1.5 miles and longer. Robby Gordon was available at Michigan and California, so rather than sit the car, with no sponsorship exposure and no owner points being generated, he was asked to drive the 88 Navy car for those 2 races. As far as the "redneck" comments, I have lived in SoCal probably longer than you have been alive and do not have a clue what you are trying to imply. It does get a little old when someone disagrees with another, then the stereotypes and lumping "everyone" together becomes the tactic. Please try to stay on topic, save the rant and try earning one' respect by your content, not your hatred. Same logic applies to Robby Gordon...remember him, the subject of this topic. If he was more respected, you wouldn't have to defend him so hard. Now you will pardon me, I have to go find that car of mine...

Rest assured competeing at professional level in ANY sport you have to be damn good at what you do. Gordon(either one), Johnson, Earnhardt... they are all superb drivers. And frankly, I don't see Jeff Gordon driving any 700 HP Offroad trucks, so where is the comparison?

Very Nice...straight to the point...I love all the Nascar Drivers and all the fans.....Even like I said a few minutes ago...remember Steve "Park It"...It was fun to watch him wreck every week...but he still had to qualify and have some talent just to get into the race..!!!!! Anyone who can qualify and race in Nextel is talented....we all have our favorites, but those of us who truly understand the sport have respect for all them, right? Hapy New Year to you....COUNTDOWN....HOW MANY DAYS UNTIL DAYTONA????? PEACE MEEEEOWWWW OUT!!!!!!!!!! XOXOXOXOXOX
