More importantly I have found that those who are mentally handicapped are very sweet and kind in general. People like low life don't deserve to be grouped with people with that kind of disposition.

I have news for you. "Mentally handicapped" is considered to be politically incorrect, too. I have a niece who has Down Syndrome. I was out w/her and her mom once and her mom was explaining to someone all about her being "mentally challenged". The child, who was about 10 at the time and functioned at about a 4 year old level, looked from her mom to me to the other person a couple of times and then piped up "I'M RETARDED". Only those who want to make something look like something it's not object to calling things what they are. You're correct, most retarded people are sweet gentle souls. They lack the ability to nitpick about what they (or anyone else) is called, among other fine qualities that they possess. Seeing life very simply has a lot to be said for it.
