keep in mind also that until 3 years ago when the fleeing californians decided to run from their proud mess to inhabit oregon and washington -those two states were nice and peaceful -as it is now they have become another fear infested,minority racist(race baiting)trashed out,gang ridden police state -the same thing californians ran from in their first place -scapegoating everyone else for their own problems they bring with them every where they run!

Never said there was no racism in New York there is racism in New York as there is in every state in this country--but it is extremely prevalent here in Fargo!--and Im not planning on moving to the southwest either--that is rather presumptuous of you--dont you think--oh and by the way Im not white!

It is clear that many Oregonians base their understanding on living in oregon..though it is a great big world...yes they have fashioned themselves liberal,,the history supports that, Hippes, Yippes etc...nothing wrong with that...in the new paradigm..of thinkers..Oregon is very racist to no fault of the people who live here in a way,..they hat anyone from California..before they even come...Mostly and sadly the people who live here and were born here is very small...if you have traveled and live anywhere else..you might understand what its like to travel to a new place hoping to find intelligent life...for a Black person ..any one african blood no matter their education and integrity...Oregon is a inferior place to build a following for truth...most of the people here cam...because they did not want to ever live around black people..and never wanted their families exposed to black or ethnic influence..and felt very safe here that that would never happen..and only want blacks here to play football and run track...they have no other use for them at all except backdoor...sexual affairs in the middle of the night where no one has to know ...what is happening in the backroom ..jungle fever...its called ...what an awful place to live...the older people understand and are easy to get along ..with it is the younger people under 40 that will give you trouble ..they think black people are here to steal their jobs and screw their women...if they are not playing football or running track...face it ..its true

I've lived in Portland for38 years, and I say there's racism in several forms! Racism in Portland is like a secret society. It's here, but it's not really spoken about. Racism is the wrong road at the wrong time, a shredded resume that never makes it to the hiring manager, a pat on the back while the patter would rather be lynching or stabbing you... It's here... alive and kicking. I like to refer to it as "The Mississippi of the west....

I couldn't agree more with auto. As an African-American hailing from Washington, DC and having lived in San Franciso; I can attest to the bigotry\prejudice there. It's moreso that then systematic\institutional denial of access and opportunity, aka racism. Yet the history of Po(o)rtland which IS in the state of Oregon the last I checked, speaks for itself. The black and hispanic demographic is very small. I did the research before coming up there for it's low cost of living in respect to S.F. The whole 'liberal' game is quite simply (always has been,even the founding of the NAACP by so-called 'liberals') an ideological way of thinking and subsequent way of life for whites. The liberal vs. conservative thing is a battle amongst whites mainly to be frank. Whites do have a pretentiousness about them and an air of superiority there---very dismissive. I have a far, far better academic\professional background having studied Electrical Engineering at SUNY,Binghamton than most I've encountered there (especially on my contracting stint as a Solar System Design Consultant) yet don't enter the 'portland public domain' in less than a suit or let the profiles and pre-supposed suppositions ensue. I've lived in New York City as well so I have rich personal experiences to draw from. It can be bequilling though--if you fuse the 'liberal' lifestyle of whites with a tolerance for interracial relations, your take may be that it is 'progressive' but not so true. It may have hints of that but most are blinded by their race-based exclusivity. Interracial relations there is mainly a class issue Thankfully, I work remotely so therefore can go anywhere and have. Las Vegas for now. Cheaper mortage payments. One more thing; according to last summer's U.S. News and World Report's annual university rankings; Oregon doesn't post a school in the top 100. Only 50 states in the union :( The historic Vanport neighborhood, of which I resided, is under massive gentrification where blacks are made to feel 'inferior' walking out of their own houses. Oregon is a racist state. Whether it is the most racist state in the USA is open for debate.

It is best to avoid all natives. They are cold, unfriendly and a big waste of time.

If you meet someone new make sure they are non natives before you waste any time or effort in befriending them.

Within the next generation being white will be a minority. Everyone will be a minority.

Under achieving white kids are already bawling about preferential treatment of Asians in college admission. Now that is hilarious.
