I'm from a small town in Louisiana, and everyone who visits these posts should know how racist this state is. I was highly interest in Portland, because my girlfriend is from there. I've been to Portland twice. The first time, I wanted to stay; because it looked like a walgreens commercial when I interacted with the Caucasian people. The second time I was there, I was waiting for my girlfriend. I saw 2 blacks in an hour in a half. Caucasian people where everywhere. Two me walked over a began writting down my license plate. I asked him was there a problem, but he replied no and laughed. I'm already screwed up from the racism in Shreveport, Louisiana I'm man enough to admit that extreme animosity. I'm am well educated, and it's still hard to obtain employment of mid standards in 2009. I've seen a white girl with no education or experience obtain a wireless sales consultant job for At&t in my interview, and I am a programmer, certified. I also am 4 classes away from another degree. I transfered from Apple, and moved home only to be told,“you're not what we're looking for.” My girlfriend is mixed. She hates Louisiana, and would deal with Portland any day. She has onld been discriminated on the backwood towns or Oregon, very seldom in Portland. My daughters look white, as a matter of fact, on has blonde hair. If I were stupid, I would hate them too. Screw Oregon and it's wicked Edomites, and 10 times for Louisiana. Since I know my history, It has change my outlook on everything. I'll not never raise the flag. I won't salute it. I won't fight for it either. A white man said when I was a kid. Blacks are not real Americans. I see what he means now. Screw Easu. Only Yahawah Yahawahshi can change this racism, dreadful demon filled nation and world.

I'm sorry that you had such a rough experience. Most likely you ran across transplants from another state, probably California. Most of us Native Oregonians are not inclined that way, last time I lived there they were mostly in the St. Johns and Milwaukee/Oregon City areas of Portland.

LA racist? No. Pretty segregated though. Asians live in Walnut and Cerritos, while whites live in Huntingdon Beach, Newport Beach and Costa Mesa. They dont like Asians in those towns. Then there is Glendora, one of the most integrated cities in the LA area.
