It is a disgrace that the internet is bombarded with posters from the website called Websleuths constantly bombard Topix and every other place on the internet baiting people with the link to that website in their posts.
That link baiting drives Websleuths traffic up each and every time a person clicks on a link to Websleuths here on Topix and every other place that link is given on the net. Websleuths members are well known for trolling Topix and all over the net to leave the Websleuths link hoping to generate traffic and attract new members to join that website. Oh and they just love anyone who leaves a comment saying that they are involved in a high profile case. Any high profile case because the more members that Websleuths had posting, the more they gloat. The owner and her moderators also state that they verify high profile members. Members have to give personal information before they post and that includes personal phone numbers. Even a plain old registered member can be easily tracked. Once a person registers there, they automatically have access to private members only forums. That is where they are preyed upon. In those forums they are sucked in to posting more personal information and personal photos. There are threads there in the private forums encouraging sucking in members to freely talk about their personal life. Ones there assume that they will have a deep friendship with others there and more often than not, members that have been there for some time will private message a new ones and seduce them with praise only to gather information from that unsuspecting new member. So as time goes on people divulge more and more information thinking they have new online friends. People trust too much and it is not hard at all when you think that you kindle friendships online.
Windchime (the moderator pedophile), Christine,(the DWI murder moderator), Animal,(the puppy killer and pedophile supporter moderator), JBean (the 2 faced en trapper moderator) Cubby (the one who succeeded in getting a new computer payed for by the mother of a missing person), Hoppyfrog (Power hungry moderator who relied on going to other message boards to post information instead of finding the information on her own.) and so many more that are too long to list. The owner of the website wants you to pay to remove advertisements, buy her a new computer, buy her Websleuths merchandise, submit donations and pay for other things when she posts her financial sob stories. She only in the last couple of years started posting on her own website! There is not one registered member there past or present who cannot say that they have never posted personal information about themselves. It is so very easy to fall into their deception.
From the moment you click on the website link that they post all over the net, you give them info, when you register there and become a member, rest assured, personal information is being gathered about you.
I am a crime victim and I was taken advantage of by that website over time because I was in a vulnerable state and I really believed that I was helped and befriended members of Websleuths.
When you are a member there and decide that you no longer want to be there, you are never gone from there and all of your information is retained. You are also still counted as a member there on that website. The member numbers for their website is not at all accurate. Not even close. Beware anyone who clicks on that website link and certainly beware anyone who registers there.

And, Justice Quest is just as bad, worse in some ways.
All you will find at JQ is a bunch of gossip hounds bemoaning Websleuths.
If you do try to discuss a crime, the moderators edit most of what you have to say.
However, some of the favored posters are allowed to post the same refrain:
FIND JANE DOE
FIND JANE DOE
FIND JANE DOE

BRING JANE DOE HOME
BRING JANE DOE HOME
BRING JANE DOE HOME

How uttering the same refrain in every post assist with bringing a victim home evades me.

JQ is fully staffed with the mind set of group-thinkers. They get their news from FB.
No thank you to that

LMAO, believe me, I hear ya!I never wanted to join Justice Quest because I had read too many of the posts contributed by its members. All it seemed to be was a bunch of bored grannies mentioning their grandchildren at any opportunity, though their grandchildren are not at all relevant to the thread topics. Oh, and every other post seems to read "Find Madame X!" (in reference to the current case of a missing woman)Yeah, because that is so very helpful to the case!If it's not "Find Madame X," it's some moderator asking everyone to stay on track. Apparently, their idea of "on track" is to continually post "Find Madame X!" Another thing that turned me off was irrelevant posting by a person on there who seems to think her drug experience is of interest to anyone. I read about her use of Ambien and crank and decided that if I wanted to hear such prattling, I would just pretend to be a junkie and attend NA meetings. I was under the impression that JQ was a forum related to current crime cases, not a confessional for druggies and grannies cackling and knitting.Needless to say, I never wanted to get involved in that mess after I read all those posts, so I justdidn't bother, obviously.I would avoid it at all costs. I don't know anything bout websleuths at all. I haven't read anything on there, so I can't comment about that one. For all I know, it is somehow connected to JQ, and that's why I never bothered to check it out.

Ha! OK. I wasn't looking on there long enough to even getthat far, once I'd read an endless number of posts exhorting Law enforcement,or, I guess, anybody else reading the thing to
"Find Madame X," I decided I'd read enough and had no interest in joining thatparticular group. Sure, I find the idea of a forum filled with nothing but parrots ("Find madame X" "find madame X!" squawk-squawk, bawk-bawk!), grannies, crank and Ambienjunkies and braggarts somewhat amusing, but not enough to want toexchange communication with any of them.So websleuths isn't like that? I'll heck it out if i can read it without having to join it. I've read too many negative comments online about that forum.

WS is not bad. Very informed knowledgeable posters.
Just (JQ) Kweers, now that is an entirely different parade of people.
Only a handful are able to post. Most threads are controlled by the mods. They important people...them mods.

I'm a PhD & consider myself a most informative poster.
Also, I'm active in searches for missing children & have a full time career as a PO.
I love JQ.
I love when people go missing & I can go looking for them then post the most trite details of my search.
Sometimes, I get off track and must share things. Like the fact I am a victim of DV. Oh, I founded WS. Did I mention that fact?
My life is overly full, with work, searches & blogging I have little time for much free time.

Imformed posters??????? Ha! What is supposed to be a victim friendly moderated board is anything but. Their TOS states that nobody is to be bashed until named a suspect. I have yet to see that enforced. It's always the same ole "the parents did it", "the boyfriend did it",'the husband did it', etc without a shred of evidence of it. When posters try to guide conversation back to facts and try to keep fiction at bay, they are constantly chastised and berated and the moderators are of no use.

I'm here to tell you Justice Quest is a mess. It is filled with old hags who hate hate hate. There is a moderator named Jeana who posts on threads (no life) and has a gang of ass kissing old biddies with her to make herself feel important. Don't ever make her look stupid or you are banned. It's not easy to not make her look stupid. She considers herself an attorney and even better, she has her medical expert, and old hag named Warhorse, who spends her time spouting her so called qualifications.

I made the mistake of going to that board when IS closed. I am at WS now and find it much more professional with members who aren't just looking for a fight.

Through with WS. Given them too many chances

Mods posing as members - often

Targeting good posters by using mods posing as members to deliberately provoke. When the target responds, they're banned

If WS can't find one iota of reason to ban, they simply ban anyway. No means of redress.

Why do they do it? Simple, WS attempts (is paid?) to steer people's opinions. When intelligent members produce content which contradicts Websleuth's agenda, that intelligent member is provoked so WB can ban. Or if the intelligent member intelligently refuses to rise to the bait, they're simply cut-off and banned anyway

It's apparently true that WS inflates its member count. Does it in a variety of ways, non of them ethical

Such an unethical site cannot be trusted, obviously. Not trusted with anything, especially not your privacy or personal info

If WS were trustworth, there wouldn't be so many ex members or so much hatred of WS

I read some shocking things about Websleuths. And I discovered all and more to be true. The smart ones get out, leaving only the chaff chatting garbage with mods posing as members

LOL. That site is a vomit-causing joke run by some very bitter and disturbing individuals, imo

I have to give a HUGE amen to this one. The old hags at JQ are by far worse than anyone I've ever encountered at WS. Oh and just FYI, River Selah, who posted above that she is a PhD, well, she's a fraud. She's just a lowly PO who likes to follow missing child cases, put in her crappy $.02 worth, and stalk Lisa Irwin's family.

You're a liar. You've told everyone on Facebook that you're working on your Masters, you are no PhD. You "helped" with the Lisa Irwin case by posting on JQ, blaming the mother for the child's death, when there is no evidence that a death occurred. You even went so far as to call her horrible names, suggest that she took her foot and stomped the child's head, and then threw her into the MO river. You lack professionalism and ethics, especially for someone who is supposed to be a P&P officer, and uphold the laws. I honestly wouldn't put it past to you to have tried to plant evidence against this woman. God knows, you've stalked her house enough, driving miles and miles out of your way from your home to your office to drive by, and then mention on JQ that she was out sitting on the porch, on the phone, smoking a cigarette or whatever. You need to get a clue, and you need to get a life, RiverSelah aka Terri G. The evidence is stacking up against you, and calls are going to be made very soon to Jefferson City in regards to your unethical behavior.

Holy shit, who has time for looking in the forums for all of one person's posts? I read on JQ, never saw her claim to be a phd, and believe she's sPot on about the missing baby Lisa.

But believe whatever you wish, <shrugs> this is Topix, and lies and misinformation, personal insults and SHOUTING INVECTIVES is what this place is made for. You're entitled to your opinion, as wrong as it may be.

She claimed to be a PhD right in this Topix thread. Scroll up and educate yourself.
