i miss kyree dearly... he was something special, he didn't do nothing wrong. he was very intelligent and smart. kyree was lyke almost a brother to me and i cherished him alot. like just the other day i told him that i loved him and he said it back to me.... he come to school smiling and so jolly, he was happy person who never was in between stuff. 2 days ago we got into so much trouble for talkin across the classroom when we was trying to learn...lol he say hi and give me a hug everyday an we start talking like th
at. everyday he would say "y you don't call me" and i would say "because kyree i don't have my cell phone on right now" he always kept to himself and messed with nobody, kyree was a respectful. mannnn i don't know y they took my cannon from me like this unexpectedly. i said to myself that he was in our life for a reason to show us a meaning to something... to me it feels like he still here next to me talking in my ear....like always! his life changed so quick and don't no one know y. them dumb bulls shot get whatever they get when they get caught... i hope they get caught because they took somebodies child and family!.... it had to be jealousy or something for them to set him up and kill him like dat... kyree i love you mann!!!! r.i.p & in loving memory kyree :(
love your boo shelly!

What a tragedy! I look forward to the time when God will swallows up (do away with) death forever!(Isa, 25:8.9)
Do you think the time will come when people like you and me will be able to walk the streets at night and feel safe? Do you feel that anyone has a real solution to the problem?

...its just killing me inside to know that somebody i liked..which i ended up loving for 2 years just vanished out of my life.Alot of people might not know but me and Kyree was talking ever since he left mot. In a way i felt like i had my own lil personal relationship wit him cuz after he left he didnt really stay in contact with every single person. Kyree always had my heart and stomache doing somersalts when we talked on the phone because i would never think that i would fall in love with somebody's personality so much.No i wasn't his girl and i prolly wasn't the only girl he was talking to.but what i will say is that me and him definately did have something special going on and the same way he had a place in my heart, i had one in his. Its jus so crazy cuz like i just got off the phone with him monday nite.around 10.he always call me wen he get off of work, and when he riding the G.all we talked about was how much work erk us and shit.lol.i always had him cracking up.but what makes it worst, i was suppose to see him this weekend.we talked about it dat nite and everything.but he really opened my eyes and let me know that you have to cherish what you have because you never know when its your turn to go. In a way, im glad we didn't take it a step farther and turn what we had into a relationship(even though we talked about that too) cuz the pain would be so much worst.I wish i couldve got him dat hoodie he wanted 4 his birthday.lol.but i did sing to him all loud in his ear.Kyree i love you and i know your looking down on me blowing me a thousand kisses. i just wish i couldve told you my true feelings before you left. No tears...we will see each other again.Until that day comes..you will be cherished forever.I love you.

Very, very sad indeed but, welcome to Philadelphia this is the real Philadelphia. So, sad that so many young people are being lost. The parents of some os these thugs that are making our city streets so unsafe by the day need to be accountable for their children so this does not happen anymore. Such a tragedy that continues everyday in Philadelphia with no hope in sight. They need to go after the the parents, city council, THE MAYOR and the police need to step it up. Also, the people of this city need to expect more from themselves so terrible behavior comes to an end. Way to many have lost thier lives and families ruined because of this way of life and the families carry this burden forever. Pray for the victim and time for the people of Philadelphia to say NO MORE WE EXPECT A BETTER LIFE. Take action Philadelphia so this does not happen again and this is not the norm for this city.

I was sadden by the news of young Kyree's death. I knew Kyree when he was just about seven or eight years old, from playing with my sons on Vodges Street. He'd come to my house, hang out on the porch, run, jump, play, talk, laugh, cry, cry, cry... Those last two cries represent the my heart. I hugged his mother Michell Saturday. Have you ever hugged a mother who just lost their child? It's like no other hug you'll feel. Please, dis the no snitch rules for Kyree's family. I pray somebody has the guts, the love, to cry loud, and spare not.

Thousands of us are sickened and sad for the peaceful, drug and gun free citizens of Philadelphia. We feel sorry for your once beautiful city.

I do not know what the answers are. I do know that anyone who participates in smoking pot, snorting drugs, carrying guns in the gang life are only perpetuating the severe problems. Infortunately many who do those things, do not think they are part of the problem but they are.

I do know that anyone who harms a child, a citizen or a police officer deserves swift and severe justice. I do know that if you want a good neighbor...be one...and demand a quiet and respectful place to live.

And what about that "No Snitching" thing? That was horrible and speaks volumes about how some think about community responsibility...or the lack thereof.

You need to step up and insist on safe homes, blocks, neighborhoods and streets. Unfortunately, it is always extremely difficult dealing with thugs so get rid of them, some how.

Don't let them hide in the shadow of criminality anymore. Shine some light on their disgusting deeds and how they are dragging everyone down.

Too many more will be raped and killed in the future if someone doesn't step up.

Good luck.

So sad but, welcome to Philadelphia land of crime and grime. Very sad to hear this everyday and so sad for the families. These thugs and some kids are tearing this city down piece by piece and day by day. We need to expect better and we need to say no to these thugs. We don't want you here this is not your home. If you are a parent of a kid that is running on a rampage you are more guilty than the kids doing it. All of you are not wanted here.

I just left little Kyree's funeral a few hours ago. Looks like the entire Bartram High School community was there, including teachers and aides, hall monitors, counselors, you name it. A few city officials came out as well; Councilwoman Janie Blackwell, State Rep. Minnie Moore, and probably some others that I didn't notice. The cry of my heart is PEACE and LOVE on our streets... RIP little Kyree, RIP... Your life mattered, your life touched so many other lives, your life is now in God's hands... And it is so!

I went to the prayer and memorial vigil for Kyree and his family yesterday. The community came together to remember and pay tribute to this very special young man, who touched so many lives. The pastor who spoke asked if someone would live out the rest of Kyree's life for him, by continuing their education, going to college, being respectful, thoughtful, and setting an example for the rest of the young men in the community. Please let's stop the violence; it's much, much deeper than you think. What we are experiencing in our communities is a direct result of systemic racism and oppression, lack of power and resources and what we do is internalize these social, economic, and political injustices on each other. It's called INTERNALIZED RACISM:(1) The poison of racism seeping into the psyches of people of color, until people of color believe about themselves what whites believe about them -- that they are inferior to whites; (2) The behavior of one person of color toward another that stems from this psychic poisoning. Often called "inter-racial hostility;" and (3) The acceptance by persons of color of Eurocentric values. Educate yourselves, find out why you are acting out in hostility against each other.

Kyree,

Months have passed and I still miss you everyday. I feel so bad b/c our relationship got weaker when you switched schools and I shouldve tried harder to keep in touch with you. But seeing you randomly on the streets always made my day. Remember gym? You and Daba used to run up and down the court acting like Shaq and Kobe but def kept putting up bricks?? lol. I miss those moments. But I know you're in a better place right now and the person that did this will get his one day.

I love you =)

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Sagittarius

Pay attention to your health as the Moon enters Taurus and your sixth house of health and service today; it might be time for a check up. With Neptune and Jupiter in your third house, nervous tension could be leading you into bad habits that will undermine your health. If you feel stressed out, reach for your athletic shoes instead of a double martini and you'll be happy with the results.
