Hogar Crea wants OK to treat addicts again

They tried selling flan door to door in my apartment complex.

A few notes on hoger crea few ago ago I was ask to sit on board of directors at a local center,let me tell you what a scam,should be investigated as RICO.I can only leave a few examples here.But I must say a few ruin it for the rest.....crack smoking at the center,no reporting of aids they just move them to another center e.g. allentown,false receits Handwritten)one example over 700 dollars for kitchen table 2 x 2 x 3foot high.when i started to ask questions was told to mind my own business,shorty after 125K(it was known who &how just swept under rug) missing not reported,that person was convicted few years later for drugs(federal)in allentown.put founders son through college on donations,always sent money to him & his family for travel FIRST CLASS,and flowers every month,many more like i said there are some bad apples but it mostly at the top

They should shut them down. They are nothing more than panhandling drug addicts. I would not eat anything that was in their possession. Certify them to get our tax money. Load back up on the boat and shove off..

Please keep these people off my front porch. I'm really not comfortable with their fundraising efforts. Last thing my wife wanted to deal with is two guys with tatoos all over their necks asking for money.

Yes their panhandling ways have not thwarted their efforts for money. Selling candy bars in front of the Dollar Store? or following patrons around the parking lot. Seems more like a nuisance to me and would love to see where their money goes...Shish Kabobs anyone?

lol government is worried about using cell phones while driving. and yet these people are aloud to do door to door sales? if you are junkie and cannot drop the habbit then you are of no use to us. just go and find some rope and hang yourself and please take as many junkies with you... why would anyone live in allenswamp or the area? yuck

Keep them off the front doors and keep firemen off intersections on weekends. I don't want to drive around and get caught in traffic while those guys beg.

I hope they let find something to do uther than knock on my door every Saturday Morning!

And to think all I thought Hogar Crea was were a bunch of Puerto Rican's selling Garbage bags door to door and making yummy sish-kabobs at the Musikfest.

There is such ignorant people in this world!! If you only knew how many successful people living in this community right now has been through Hogar CREA treatment, your heads would spin!! HAHA i bet when you need someone to move your house for CHEAP, Hogar CREA is the first place you call!!! Wow! An organization tying to help addicted people (like it has for yyeeaarrsss) gets no kind of support form thier community! SAD! I hope that you or any of your family members will never need help with a drug addiction but if they ever do im SURE Hogar CREA will accept them with arms wide open!!!!

If any of my family were to ever need drug rehab, I would go to a CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL, not a bunch of other addicts who have so much infighting in their group that they can barely function. And sure, they'll take all of the state grants they can get. That's how you do it... come here from Puerto Rico and take money for free.

And if you're telling me that I'm racist... why is it that whenever I have Hogar Crea show up in my neighborhood, they're all hispanic? I have yet to see or even just hear of a white person who was helped to "recover" from Hogar Crea.

There are better ways for people to seek treatment than to be involved in this cult-like organization. My colleagues and I continually tell these freaks to depart from us whenever they approach us trying to sell their junk!

Why do they sell trash bags? Someting sounds fishy here. Isn't that illegal (pan-handling)? I vaugely recall people chanting someting in Spanish, in protest to keep this place open. Coulds someone plese post the original controversy. The article explains only a part of it (unqualified counselors...which is extremely bad) however, I remember there being more to the story. An archive search only turns-up a partial article...and frankly, I do not want to pay to read about Hogar Crea.

Firemen who are from 'god only knows what town' begging on the streets just like Hogar Crea does. It is an easy correlation.
