look around the world if you want to see the affects of mining on the environment and the people who have had it forced down their throats and or been killed for their objections.

in a nation half the size of texas who believes no environmental damage will occur or will be hidden from sight . the leveling of mountain tops is suppose to be ok for the environment?

just the years of preliminary test hole drilling have shown the people that it results in the poisoning of streams , rivers , and flora in the forests.

when manila agrees to allow private armies to defend mining interests it agrees that its people amount to no more than being disposable.
all they see in manila is $$$$ signs and as usual they are eager to climb into bed next to it at whatever the cost. gold fever makes people insane.

giving mining companies this power gives them the right to kill anyone that opposes them.

mining will be the death knell in the pilipins.

beyond this and after the rape is done the pilipins will have no soul left to sell.

Al least slow erosion by planting bamboo downhill from strip mines, it can grow in poorest soils, build crafts, and wildlife loves it.

Have to do what u can. I bought a strip mine, asked for Al Gore's help to restore. His group was asking donations from me for years.

Price of gold has caused a lot of destruction.
We are just people that care aout our planet and can only do what we can.

I have a well for water, big strip mines within water table in my area. I do what's avaiabe to me. Staying in a Nipa Hut was relaxing for me years ago. I see signs of deer staying in bamboo, so thats my exit from destruction. Picher Oklahoma is a place screwup from mining. Now deer and other wildlife live there. I know people eating the meat and hasn't died yet.

Daily Horoscope for May 24

Capricorn

If you need to get someone organized, this is the day to do it. You'll sort things out without sounding bossy or patronizing, and you'll also get co-operation instead of resistance. It's a good day for having a serious chat with a child, perhaps because you need to explain something and want to make sure you do it properly, in a way that doesn't create confusion or fear.
