seriously polluted river! go check out the sea shoreline also. ever wondered how safe to eat the local fish displayed in the market? gov't officials are part of the problem. sewage system are allowed to drain out straight into the sea. nice beaches, eh? over population, over-pollution: more people own motorcycles (carbon footprint, noise, traffic, et al).
i'd fond memories of the old kiosk in the middle of the town plaza; lacking any sense of preservation. folks now living abroad must reclaim the town. if i had to chose between the tanjay of today (a city?) and the tanjay of some 30-40 years before, you guess it. we have allowed the place to spiral into rotten abyss.
