You mean your steady, daily diet of skewed talk radio and your pre-selected conspiracy theory websites didn't educate you?! Wow. You should try to leave the house every so often. |

Leave the house, no thanks... there are killers out there. Nope, dont listen to news radio or the likes. I live in a bubble, and the philippines still inst in the south bay, no need for this to be in the DB. |

Ramil has slowed once again. Evacuation is a very difficult procedure. Where can one go? This past flooding did not spare evacuation centers that were overcrowded and lacked needed sanitation facilities. The highways can not accomodate a mass exodus of Northern Luzon and besides many do not have the means to leave the area. Once again we are in a wait and see mode. Hoping for the best but preparing as best as possible for the worst. Talked with the owner of an auto tire/service center yesterday and he said water was up to his waist in his house. Never had experienced that in over ten years he has lived there. More evidence that coordination between PAGASA and NAPOCOR is lacking. The untimely release and volume of release from San Roque was largely to blame for much of the flooding. Vilasis, Rosales, Carmen and other municipalities are still in the cleanup process and another one coming. Hope there will not be more of the same.

D Truth,
What in the hell is up with the storms. As we both know a slow storm means longer rains. I think the bridge at Bacolod is still out so coming south to Zambales may not be possible, the only other way is Baguio which is out of the question. Has any reporting of what the San Roque Dam is doing? Are they releasing any water ahead of the storm? |

Don
Believe San Roque may be releasing more. You know the score. Accurate facts are not easy to come by! Seen on the news one of the big shots at NAPACOR got his a*s fired due to the flooding. Remember some evacuations on the SC coast. Good highways but slow. Once the incoming lanes of I-26 into Charleston were reversed to accomodate outbound traffic and basically it became a six lane parking lot. Very slow moving........ |
