Esperon: AFP 'withdrawal of support' text message just disinformation
Gen. Hermogenes Esperon on Monday dismissed as "disinformation" the text messages circulating about a supposed "withdrawal of support" from President Arroyo of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The military is being closely watched as more protest actions are set over allegations of bribery and corruption in government especially in the national broadband network deal. The military played key roles in the EDSA Revolution of 1986 and the 2001 ouster of President Joseph Estrada and assumption to power of President Arroyo.
The Arroyo administration itself has been the target of actions by some members of the military, most serious of which were the 2003 Oakwood "mutiny" led by junior officers including now-Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV and the allegedly aborted February 2006 coup allegedly led by Army Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim and then-Philippines Marines’ commandant Renato Miranda. Trillanes and Lim would later lead the failed Makati rebellion last November 29.

It takes mortal irritant in the part of the government to draw military personnel to unseat a president numerous times during her tenure. GMA should get rid of all her ill-advisers, ban them totally from holding any public office, and secondly, divorce her husband, and obtain restraining order against him while she remains president of Philippines. Anything short of this move will only drag the country in turmoil. In the last 50 years in Philippine history, politicians are using the concept of democracy in their own gain, it has never put into practice to benefit the country. How in the world a relative of a president is accused of big time conflict of interest? Is it time to hand over the baton to more qualified leadership?

Did you say, Get rid all her official's who is supporting her? Did you say, Divorce her husband? That well never happen because these idiots the one supporting her to stay into her stolen power. Gloria Arroyo, Already said she's not going to resign, She already said she's the one can make all the decision because shes the FAKE PRESIDENT. What make you think she's going to give up her power when there is plenty of money to be made while squatting in Malacanyang Palace. I don't believe she don't know anything about the corruption because she's the one doing it. Hello, Garci! SHE DIDN'T KICK ERAP FOR NOTHING! AS WE ALL CAN SEE IT, THE ONLY REASON THEY KICK HIM OUT SO THAT THEY'RE THE ONE CAN ROB THE GOVERNMENT COFFER. |
