How do SM acquire that land and who lease the land to them.
I support the group who demostrate their love to nature. No to cutting of trees. Best way is to Re- locate the site thats all. |
|
So now, everyone wants to do something about saving the environment.....just as long as SM owns the rights......like instant religion.....

Judged: 1 1 1 I asked about it and was told nobody owns the land. Somebody must, if goverment land, it's an eyesore now. It's been a while, my guess it's still the same. |

Judged: 1 1 1 YEAH, ALL OF A SUDDEN and church groups too? hahahaha Well, better late than never i guess, but not at SM Mall and dont be pointing fingers at henry sy either. If anything the flips should be honoring him and clearing the way for him to do what he wants to do wherever he wants to do it. No matter what SM mall you go to you can witness first hand how well they treat the environment and its no where even close to how the flips treat their own properties. Maybe i missed it , but i dont see any comment from the mayor concerning the issue. BLESS HENRY SY |

Judged: 1 1 1 Stand on crosswalk at Session Rd. You see telephone wire coiled up on roof buildings, couldn't be tight between poles, line workers don't care about work they do. Hope it's phone wire anyway and not electrical. SM making so much money could help the community. http://getrealphilippines.com/blog/2012/01/ba... Even Manila look at the overhead lines and see the mess. |

I think SM should plant the tree sapling first before relocating the existing tree, and they should do it also with all the SM, to help lessen the pollution we have.

sana mag meet halfway nalang ang both parties since isa lang naman ang objective nila.

Judged: 1 1 1 Henry could set an example with all the money he has. Maybe offer tree seedlings, I'd plant while on vacation. My family's compound has bamboo and a few trees we treasure. My family's land, there more concerned in livestock, but none of them throw trash on it. Our homes have working septic systems and does not dump into creeks. Transfer the tree ?? I've never seen a larger pine moved and live. It's the trees that have no value easy to move and make it. Guess I'm just preaching for a lost cause. I remember Baguio long ago, look at it now on Google and see not many trees left. I miss the old markets and SM Mall seems to have a lot of wasted space. |

what products would you have them sell? filipino products? american products? german? wake the fcuk up man. you sound like a child of the 60s with you fcuk henry sy? baguio lost its charm years ago. where were you then with you ranting? if anything SM should be thanked and welcomed for their successes and efforts in the fils. why in hell is it there job to plant trees that filipinos wont even plant? im sure SM will plant some damned trees just to make you happy tho. everytime someone makes a buck there is always someone else that hates them for it. |

From what I gathered, there was a public hearing already among Baguio residents, LGU, DENR and SM Management about this issue last Feb 27. I can't find any helpful, or at least, clear, write up about the said hearing if what really transpired, but based on the talks on some Facebook pages, another hearing is set on March 5. I hope they would be able to come up with a clear decision already, both win-win situation.
