Female cat peeing everywhere but in litter

My female cat, 6 yrs old, has taken up a very bad habit of peeing in 3 specific places in my house, on the bathroom floor, the table next to the front door, and the corner next to the front door. She poops in the litter box as normal. She just started this, and I have tried putting her nose in it, then putting her in the litter box. I have tried shutting her in a room with the litter box, her food & water, but nothing is stopping her. She seems bent on "marking" my house up. I am going to get married in a few months, and my fiancee will not tolerate that. If she doesn't stop I am going to have to give her up, which will just break my heart. She has a litter sister that is also with me, they hate each other. I don't know if this is a jealousy issue or what. But if anyone has any suggestions to get her to stop...PLEASE TELL ME!!!

The first step is to be sure she's not ill; take her to the vet and explain the problem. She may have an infection.

If the problem is behavioral, and she is actually marking, use an enzyme cleaner like Nature's Miracle to thoroughly clean the areas she's wet on. It sometimes helps to place a large piece of aluminum foil loosely over the area, piercing it with holes to allow air to circulate. Cats don't like the sound or feel of the foil so they may not try to mark that spot again. You may need to treat the spots numerous times until all traces of odor are gone. Another product that seems to have helped my cats is "Feliway", a spray that is formulated to mimic feline pheromones. Sometimes the behavior can be curbed with medication from your vet; antidepressants may be in order. It will not help to put her nose in it, or to punish her for wetting inappropriately, frustrating as her behavior may be. I know how tough it is to have a cat do this, but don't give up hope yet!

My cat lives in our garage and i bring her inside every day. she has a litterbox out there. she is peeing on my dad's truck and our lawn mower trackter seat. i think is because i'v been neglecting her litterbox and not scooping it out but i dont know. MY PARENTS ARE GETTING REALLY MAD AT ME AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!

Keep the litter box clean! Poor thing....would you want to go in a stinky outhouse full of crap? neither does a cat. They need a clean litter box, in the same place all the time

my parteners cat keeps spraying can any one give me some answer for himm as we dont no why

Some of my cats are just dirty pissers. It does'nt matter whether the cat boxes are clean, plentiful or in every convenient location. The males will spray as that is what male cats do to mark their territory. The females will also mark, and both genders will be too lazy to go to the box or ask to go outside. These individuals have a little heated cat barn to live in, as they have lost their house privileges. The cats who are clean get to live in the house. Once in a great while someone might be ill and have an accident, which is tolerable, but the incorrigible ones just aren't allowed indoors. This recount is not much help to those folks who can't have the cat live in the barn. Sorry.

You should see the way may cat takes a poop. Will balance three legs on the edge of the litter box and one leg inside the box (never to touch the litter). I would take my cat to the vet to make sure she is okay, but many cats have very strange bathroom habits.

We have tried every type of litter, have taken him to the vet because he does have pooping problems. We think his three legged poop might be from his kitten days, when he was with the breeder and sharing his litter box with many cats. He has litter box phobia.

go to petco buy a product called HAPPY CAT add it to the water. your cat may just be stressed, try this first before you spend money on a vet. it worked with same problem for our cat.

my cat is 2yrs old April 25th. She had some problems with peeing and pooping in the corner behind the couch when we fist adopted her (she was 4months old then)
Like I said she is now 2yrs old and she has taken up peeping and pooping again this time in my bathroom and in the den next to the dinning room table - it is just nasty!!!
I love her to death but everyone else in my house wants to get rid of her because of this behavior.... I don't know what to do....PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I love cats, shame I live in a flat now. I have had three cats in my life.

I Have a Female That is about 5. She Pees in the same spot (as close to the front door, On carpet) in every place I have ever lived. The only time she didn't is when I didn't have carpet. I took her to the vet she didn't have an infection. They tried antianxiety pills. They were so hard to give Her it made it worse.
short of putting up litterboxes all over my house with different amounts of litter (vet suggestion). I don't know what to do.

i just got a kitten and she was going in her litter box ok, then we took her to the vet and got her shots, but I also have another cat so I put her litter box in the room with the other cat, because the vet said they should have seperate boxes, but she is peeing on my son's bed, she has done this twice and I am ready to get rid of her should i put her litter box back in my son's room?

Cats don't like their litter boxes being moved around. And they're particular about the type of litter and who goes in what box. I have 3 cats, mom and two babies,(2 yrs old now) and I have three litter boxes. They pee in one and poop in another. Try to find one spot she'll go in, and then leave it there. Keep putting her in there a few times....nicely. and if you see her going, praise her.

Try to clean up the sheets and bed as best as possible, if they smell it again, they may go there again.

Suggestions:
Put the kitten's litter box back in your son's room. She is probably afraid of the other cat. Whatever, put her box back where she was successfully using it before.
Cover your soon's bed with a tarp, then an old blanket. The tarp protects the bed, and the old blanket gives the cat a soft thing to sleep on. I did this with a couple of new kittens I recently rescued, as one of them peed my bed when he was still adjusting to the location of the facilities. It's important to prevent a bad habit from developing.

If your cat isn't peeing in the litterbox, try these 2 things:
1. As people above said, take him/her to the vet. It may be a bladder infection. The kitty may associate pain with going in the box so she doesn't want to go in there.
2. Use the old-fashioned cheap, clay kitty litter. I mix this with an unscented "sand-type" litter, the kind that clumps up. Cats don't like perfumy smells.
