Is it me or is anyone else wondering how they even suspected the cat or ferrets as having swine flue?

I mean, cats kind of just lay around anyway, how would you know?

I thought the only reason you ever took a cat to the vet was to either pull tinsel out of it's butt or to euthanize it.

I hope you're not a pet owner.

Actually you are partly right even if it does sound a bit crude. My first cat I only took to the vet to have her put to sleep and the cat I have now gets tinsel pulled out of his butt along with Easter grass.

cats need shots each year, and theirs many other reasons to take your pet to the vet.
i have 2 cats and love them to death but this is good news to know incase i get sick and they get it from me.

i would like more info about this, if we can get it.

No, not scary, at least not in my opinion. Just something to be mindful of. Nothing to panic about.

You don't take your cats to get shots and check ups? They're living things, not machines. It's irresponsible not to take your pets to routine vet check ups, especially when they're very young, old, or go outdoors. And even if they're none of those, they should go yearly.

Lighten up, Francis.

Cats lick their butts on a daily basis. They eat raw mice for crying out loud. What will a vet be able to do for them other than stress them out?

Good maybe Glenn Beck can retire now! His mission of proving the 2012 theory is complete. All that was missing is how the cat parents, parents, were owned by the Obama family years ago.

Not a pet owner per se, but I live in a house that has seen many pets. I'm not of the pet mentality but my wife and kids are. I was all done cleaning shazzit when my last kid was out of diapers. We have had rabbits, turtles, fish, frogs, bugs, cats, dogs, crabs (hermit, you jokers), mice, rats, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs and a stray human or two.

I must say that even though I didn't want any pets, cats have always taken a shine to me, and me them. I find them to be humorous and not too needy. But still if I had my choice, there would be no pets.

The reason this virus is crossing over to different species is because it is a MANMADE virus. Species specific viruses do not normally go beyond the species it infects. Also, it is technically not swine flu because it did not originate from pigs. Again, because it is man-made, it was designated "H1N1" (which is not the same as sine flu). The reason everyone should be scared is because this (the H1N1 virus) does not have normal boundries and has the capability to continually mutate and outsmart the cures. So what works now to fight it, will most likely not work down the road. GOOD LUCK and stay clean!!

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
