1 # 1 My friend's family is in Urumqi for all their lifes. The racial conflicts happen sometimes in the past. But, this time it is an organized crime. In one hand, the organized protestors attracts government attention, the other hand, Wei people start to kill non- Wei people around the city. They are killing innocent people, who are going to work, shopping, walking on the street. There is a third hand, the organizer outside of China start to spread different news that Han is killing Wei. My friends is working in the U.S. and worry his family. They can't get out of their home. You never know what will happen when walking in a small street. He blame that Chinese government is too soft to the crime. I think it is because Chinese govnerment is worry to much about international media. Chinese government has policies through out the past 50 years on minority races in China and the policies is too generals to minorities to win their supports. Government will put more control and more regulations if it happen in area without minority issues. In another way, I found that Chinese government really should beef up their control of minority issues and strengthen laws and regulations. Everybody in the sociaty should be the same. Minorities should be punished if they did crime. If anybody hear news from China, think twice, it mihgt be propogadar either way, by Chinese governments or those who against Chinese. If you want the truth, go see it yourself. China is a good place to go. I enjoy it very much. # 2 I lived in Urumqi for most of my life, more than 30 years, I know exactly what happened and is happening there. I don't want to talk about the Chinese goverment with you. I am talking about innocent people, almost all of them are Han, Hui (another minority Muslin in China), they were killed by cold blood Uighur mobs, don't pretend you know everthing. If you are a human being, you know exactly no political reasons can justify killing innocent people. I know those mobs can and will do, they are not human beings. Han and Hui are consider second class in Xinjiang, infront of laws and policy. Any Uighurs, if they are honest, they know that. Han and Hui will be shot dead immediately if they were carrying such crime. Uighur criminals are often released without charge before law and policy is in favour of them. I had never wanted to fight, even self defense, with a Uighur because I would be put into jail and that guy will get away with it.(is it a joke, no, it is true, I never seen a minority group is given such priority in any countires). Bashing Chinese goverment can't get these innocent people lifes back. I had no longer trusted Western media three years later after I came to Canada, this time, it makes me firmly believe, if western reporters not doing it on purpose, but doing it under bias. They are not professional. Media are serving their own interests, in China, in Canada and all over the world. More than 90 % American even don't know where is Yogoslavia, but they supported to invade it, because of media influence. Dont be naive, think you get the whole picture, because you will never from media, period. Let us pray the violence ending soon, and people will live peacefully. |

1 #3 I support your idea, Chinese never have their own mind, everytime, they speak out against the bias (government, media, people) of the west is controlled. Only those Chinese support the west and against own Chinese are correct and opened. By the way, any against west is evil, and any against Chinese is god. What a opinion! My opinion is controlled, maybe by alien in Canada. That's why 40% of Chinese Name got less job interview here. Maybe those interviewees are alien like me. The west is never wrong. All they say (true or untrue) bad about China become bible. #4 Do you see the armed police carrying guns??? I don't, all I see are shields and sticks. Even the RCMP were much more lethally equipped at Vancouver APEC protesting than this. So don't lie about shooting and firing, the 156 people died were Han Chinese knifed down by what CBC calls "protesters". #5 But seriously, the minority policy in China is rediculous. The 2 ethnic Uighurs that were beat in southern China were RAPISTS. They raped 2 females, but noooooo, just because they were Uighurs, they were not persecuted...... In China, if a Uighur thief was caught, he wouldn't be persecuted. If a Uighurs kiled someone, the authorities would be afraid to put him in jail. The minority policy in China treat ALL minorities much much better than the ethnic Han.... #6 But as far as I can tell, Uyghers in the coastal city school systems(in China) show no sign of being discriminated or being unable to blend into the (Chinese) society. And as ethnic minority these students also enjoy preferrential treatment that their peers could only envy. #7 Moving the Hans people to Xinjiang to surpress the Uighurs? What a nonsense reporting !! Why are those Ulghurs working in Kwongdong Province (actually at a factory owned by Hong Kong Merchants?), thousands of miles away from Xinjiang in Southern China? In retailation of Hans people moving to Xinjiang? May be Ulighurs should learn Cantonese (and English) rather than Mandarin. |

1 Whatever you are getting at, I take it as good intention on the part of your goodself. But unfortunately we don't lived alone. There are many others. Others with sinister intentions. Causing a racial violence in other peoples land is among the most evil act of all!!! Folks need to understand the feelings of the people from both side of the fence. The message is don't prejudge others on the evil politics you know so little about! My heading: Tales from the other side. Off course, everybody is spreading RUMOR and everybody in Urumqi is partisan and mostly angry. But who started it. The oversea instigators off course. People need to know the truth before they comments. How many Turkish came on board with their Muslim brotherly support without understanding Uigher are in fact Kurdish, not to mentioned the Opportunistic Vietcongs, etc. etc. What do you think the some of the people are doing here when they speak of GENOCIDE in Xinjiang? Do you believe there is a GENOCIDE in Xinjiang!!!! or another RUMOR!!! |

1 You seem to have your pre-disposition about this incident, but apparently you did not know the history in the last 2,000 years. Let me share some with you. This is the knowledge I acquired over the last 30 years since I was a high school student then. To say the Uighurs own all of Xinjiang (the New Frontier, or New Territories) all the time since time immemorial is a damned lie. 2,000 years ago, it was a land in which the Huns roamed. The Han Dynasty then had defeated the Huns. Some of the latter fled to Europe or got assimilated by other ethnic groups as well as by the Han group (which is a huge mixed blood group anyway). After the defeat of the Huns by the Han Dynasty generals, the west became a sovereign part of the Chinese empire, and garrisons were stationed there as history records and archaeologic findings show). Some Chinese migrants were moved there from interior China to form colonies and develop agriculture to defend the new frontiers. Don't forget there are many many other native ethnic groups lived there, and whose descendents still live in west China (17+ groups). Many of the tribes then were nomadic and moved often across the land and Central Asia because of war or because of making a living. Then 1,000 years ago, with the great Tang Dynasty of China declining, the Turks from Central Asia attacked. Because the Chinese empire was weak near the end of the Tang Dynasty, Turks (together with other ethnic groups) dominated the land. Then the Mongol empire rose and then collapsed.(Part of it is the Yuan Dynasty). China including the piece of land called Xinjiang today is in the hands of the Mongol rulers. About 400 years ago, the Ching Dynasty rose up and united the whole country of China. The Ching Dynasty combined different pieces of land which were vaguely called the western territories (Xi Yu) in the past, and called it Xinjiang (the New Territories). Because of its military might, the Ching Dynasty took tight control of what is called China today and some land to the west and to the north of today's borders. What happened to the Turks (the Uighurs were descendents of some branches of the Turk people). The Mongols have pushed them away and some fled to Central Asia (their traditional homeland), and some settled down in a country called Turkey today. Some served the Chinese empire and eventually got sinicised and assimilated. Chinese history has recorded many noblemen and generals of Turk descent. In anytime of history, there are other ethnic groups in addition to the the Uighurs living in Xinjiang. Saying that Xinjiang belongs only to the Uighurs people is a hyperbole which does not comform to historical facts and the present situation. Neither people can assume that East Turkestan existed because there has never been any country being recognized in the world called East Turkestan. So if you do not consider the ancient history of over 1,000 years ago, just start from the Mongol (Yuan) and Ching Dynasties, Xinjiang has consistently a part of a sovereign country called China. Then the same piece of land was inherited by the nationalist Republic of China, and then by the communist People's Republic of China. |

1 Go home and live with the communists! Why live life as a free loader hypocrite? Those people have no constitutional protection against a heavy handed government while the US has a bill of rights that protect all citizens, even pro-CCP mouthpiece, from arbitrary arrest and imprisonment by the government. It is foreign concept to you but Western civilized countries have the rule of law! |
Get a job and get a life you low life form. I will go there and live there. I often do that as my family owns factories there. |
Anyone who is against China should do something about it. Talking, talking and more talking... Many biased views... Why not declare war on China and get rid of it from this planet once and for all. That saves all the trouble! And low life forms who thrive on slandering can rest and spend time on something that is more meaningful... helping other people, travel, surfing (instead of the internet)...
China must get a Bill of Rights for folk in China may it be a peaceful nation
But they are paid to spread false rumours and CCP lies on this forum! |
And any low life paid apologists for the Chinese Communist Party, like "Jay Lee" here, should immediately move to the dictatorship they are so closely allied to, instead of polluting a free forum with their snivelling servitude to their CCP masters! |
