Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul on Tuesday admitted that he got a monthly Social Security check, a program that he eventually wants to eliminate.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program. Nor did he accept the $50,000 per day secret service for his campaign. How dare him live long enough to actually draw some social security he paid into all his life lol Both parties want to do away with SS. Paul would like young people to opt out and make better use of their own money. We know the gvt doesn't manage money well!

Anyone who has paid in to S.S. deserves to get money back. It is those who have never paid are now getting money from that account that I have a HUGE problem with them. There are other gov't programs that they can soak, but S.S. is not for those who have not contributed.
