Being a small business owner of an Alarm Company in Cedar City, we do not offer Health insurance. It is impossible to be competitive in the market place with increased costs such as this.

Health Ins is a joke!! It costs to much to have and if you don't have it (LIKE ME) no one will help you. They all act like you are the scum of the earth! My husband lost his company so we no longer can afford it even when we could they would accept my kids and husband but not me. Now I need surgury and every finacial assistance I have applied for denys me. I don't want a free ride I am willing to pay monthly the rest of my life if needed. That does not matter they all turn their noses up at me. If they can't get their 500% over the real cost you better forget it!!

Meg (and others), can I ask how much health insurance is if going through a small business plan? I'm sure you've looked into it, but as part of something I'm researching, I'm curious if people are aware of the lower cost options that are available to them. I think I've found a decent range of monthly premiums and I'm curious if this is in line with what other people pay, or expect to pay. I'm sorry to hear about your situation :(
