shouldnt everyone be able to opt out of social security?
I think it is criminal the teachers are able to dodge the socialist security system while so many who work in academia are advocates of socialism.

Nov. 1-7 will be the 11th annual California Retired Teachers Week. As California and Lake County retired educators continue to be involved in their community and volunteer their services in the classrooms, there is a misperception in regard to public pensions.

Before you write you need to be sure of your facts! Teachers are not "able to dodge S.S." We had no option to have it. 26 years ago when I started teaching it was not available to us. The only way a teacher can get S.S. Is if we had prior work before teaching, or an extra outside job. |
