I have a bone to pick with the way our judges our elected. I have nothing against Charlie Jones, and since he will serve as a judge in Lebanon County for 10 years, I wish him the very best of luck and hope that he serves justice in every aspect of that very important word. I'm not affiliated with any political party, so I'm as unbiased as possible. I have a serious issue with how our judges are elected, however. I don't believe that it should be a political procedure, because that keeps the judges from doing their job accurately. There's a problem when judges are making rulings to please certain parts of society. Just because Lebanon is evidently die-hard Republican doesn't mean that anyone who isn't affiliated with that political party should suffer. I'm not saying that's the case here, and like I said, I have nothing against Charlie Jones. It does anger me that he seemingly got his position as a result of having made more money, and being what he is, politically. I hope that the people of Lebanon made the right choice. I hope that this decision doesn't come back to haunt us. And to Loreen Burkett, if this gets to her attention, the only thing that I have to say is that I was looking forward to seeing her as the next judge and the first female to ever serve on the Court of Common Pleas of Lebanon. I believe that you were the better candidate in terms of qualifications and experienc. I hope that your career doesn't stop here. To Charlie Jones, I wish you the best of luck in your new position. I didn't consider you to be the best candidate, but hopefully for the sake of this important court, you are determined enough and savvy enough to occupy this important position and fulfill your duties to the best of your abilities every single day that you sit on that bench.

This in my opinion is the worse thing for Lebanon County. Charlie Jones couldn't provide proper representation for who those in court, what's it going to be like with him being judge? The inmates at the county jail are going to be getting tons more company.

To Roberto, Loreen Burkett is not the best choice she gave 4 innocent kids to a mother that beat them and was at the time with a sex offender in which she later married. 2 of the kids have an open case so maybe it isn't based on political parties or who has the most money like she said in her speech. So now that you know that what do you think of her now? The kids were with their father for 2 months and 2 days before Christmas they had to go back to her because Loreen said so. And then more beatings took place and then April Loreen gave her custody. then the end of June the mom married the monster. So both will face charges cuz the mom new what he was about. Then finially CCYS took the kids and they were split in foster care for 3 months until we went through all the paper work and got FULL custody. But now my step kids have so many emotional scars and problems so yea I guess people would say she is good NOT!!!

I voted for Jones. You hear stories how our judicial system is broken. We all hear stories about family law, well, to me, it is far from fair for a wife to choose to leave her husband, because of her fault,
she quit her job, so that way she gets half of his pay check,(while she is able to work, but chooses not not to) but yet he is stuck paying the bills she racked up..were is the justice in family law? The court needs to get it out of their heads that the guy is always at fault, I am sure Jones seen both sides of it.

I hope to find out that Jones is a good guy one day. I was never in court but as pp mentioned about the family law.
My Fh has 2 son's he is paying child support for and which the mother refuses any contact whatsoever... So in due time,(of course you have to have the money!!) I hope to be in front of him, and I really hope he chooses the best for everyone in this situation (the kids). And also sees that the father has a right to see and be apart of the children's lives..
It's not always the fathers fault, it's not always the mother's fault. In the end it's HARD to see who is at fault.
There are many woman out there that make others look good and BAD.. Same goes with guys, I think alot more guys are showing bad and that gives GUYS a bad name but that doesn't mean they are all at fault. POEPLE (The JUDGE) needs not to stereotype the people in the court, especialy in family law cases.. along with any case..

Well to Leb finest you probably won't go infront of Jones you will go in front of a conciliator and that would be someone like Burkett read my earlier post so good luck to that. I never want to go in front of that woman again. She knew that the mother in my case still had contact with the sex offender and gave the kids to her anyway. What justice is that or where are her morals and motherly instincts. I makes you really wonder if she should even be allowed to make decisions on behalf of minors.

she deserves to loose a lot more than an election she gave girl to my ex who had a history of domestic violence pfa's constant violations to previose custody orders SHE granted and made a decision to again keep my children with him regardless of forgeries.I have seen her snicker at testimony stare out the window not take notes. and come up with a decision by 8am and file it ??

ARE THEY KIDDING WHEN YOU SAY MONEY AND POLITICAL WHO KNOWS WHO DOESN'T FACTOR IN CUSTODY????

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Scorpio

If you haven't seen certain people during the past few days, how about inviting them over for a drink or a meal? You're feeling sociable and will enjoy doing some light entertaining although you'll draw the line at anything too strenuous. It's a lovely day for being in familiar surroundings with some familiar faces, even if all you do is flop on the sofa.
