Outrigger should renegotiate with the Elks. Land must be cheaper now? Additionally, the Elks should be paying membership benefits in the form of sick, life and accident insurance. IRC 501(c)(8), Fraternal Organizations. I hope the members of both club know that. No benefit payments to members or their beneficiaires should disqualify Elks from tax exempt status. Maybe we could furlough less state workers if all of the taxes were collected.

hawaii needs to focus on agriculture and fishing to stimulate their economy I think the days of focusing on tourism is over, with the bad economy effecting not just the u.s.a. but the world , It will be a while for hawaii and the usa to bounce back to were people of the world can start to spend money again. changing hawaii from a sub servant type of economy to a self reliant type of economy is for the better.

Anyone with half of a brain can see that Mr. Rosen's agenda is to stiffle the market to lower the perceived value of the Hawaii Hotels, so that he and his conartist buddies--a bunch of greedy Jews--can use their "Hedge Fund" to yet rape again--THE ECONOMY and REAL ESTATE of Hawaii... It's an ongoing game they have played for the last 30 years--and they have played it very well and they and their lontzmen buddies are the cause of the INTERNATIONAL RECESSION and the demise of the AMERICAN ECONOMY!!

GOOOOOOOD FOR YOUUUUUU!!!
So freckin' greedy with room prices, that's what you get. I am so happy with the way things are going right now. I hope hotels in Waikiki follow suit and probably force them to drop prices lower than what it is now.

Perhaps, if Hawaii had gambling, the prices of rooms could be subsidized by the millions of dollars being racked in at the casino's. Afterall, rooms are considered a loss leader a give away. The real shake down is in the casino's! Pull your head out of the dark place...
