I assuredly concur. When Obama speaks about pork for cities to upgrade their cities with nice new shiny buildings and sleek roads, it smacks of a superficial elitist mind-set who believes in times of recession, one should tear down and renovate the home with the latest in architectural wing dings including fancy landscaping and uplights scattered about the home and garden. We shall call it a "stimulus plan". Which is ironic, because renovations only cost money and unless you want to sell your home for profit, one will never see investment payback or a decent ROI to pay down the added debt incurred due to renovations. A stimulus plan by definition is intended to create permanent jobs (not stop gap temporary jobs) and a continuous flow of revenue in order to pay off the debt. But Obama will feed this to you, and tell you it is a stimulus plan. Once America forfeits on its debt to create these pseudo jobs, to whom and which country will it sell it's newly renovated home and fancy gardens? Hello Freddie and Fanny recession, been there, done that...but LET'S DO IT AGAIN! FDR depression and 20% interest loans.

Will Obama turn a recession into a depression? Thinking so small? Why not think big? Will Obama blow up the world? Will Obama eat all your babies? Will Jesus come back if he's mad because Obama was elected President?

Obama wont do nuthing. He didnt cause this mess and he shure a heck wont be able to fix it either. No one man can perform miracles. The depression is already here for lots of folks. The ols saw applies. If you know someone who is broke and has no income it is a recession. If you are broke and have no income it is a depression.

So, what's this have to do with Obama ? He isn't the president. Republicans Bush and Cheney and Paulson made this mess. And, they made all the decisions for bailing out the banks and the car makers, and for putting the tax payers into unspeakable amounts of debt. So, if this economic crisis DOES turn into a depression, it certainly won't be Obama's fault.

Bush could have noticed or admitted that this country was in a recession a long time ago. He (Bush) could have put a cap on the gas prices, but then again why would he do that? That was money for him. If he would have done something about the gas prices that would have helped millions of people. If you think about it, at one time it may have cost someone $20 a week to go back and forth to work and that was what was figured into their budget. Then gas goes up, groceries go up, utilities go up, pay stays the same. What was costing $20 a week went up to $80-100 a week. That is a difference of $240 a week just in gas, not counting the extra grocery cost. That is a big chunk of a budget and I feel that that had a lot to do with many fore-closers to start. See again, Bushes fault!! Obama has a rough road ahead of him... Thanks Bushit........

Let's get one thing straight: Whatever happens now is the Republicans' fault.:) An analogy may help. The Republicans defecate all over the living room just before the Democrats move in. Are the Democrats then to blame because the living room smells like feces? In all the world, only a Republican would answer yes. The Current Problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch...

You Obamatons really display your stupidity when you claim this recession is all on Bush, the republicans, and gas prices. You are so woefully uninformed it is laughable. This whole mess can be traced back to the Community Reinvestment Act, which Carter put in place, and the Clinton Administration put on steriods. ACORN exploited this nonsense, and guess who was an activist with this organization? Obama! Here is an article that dates back to the winter of 2000. THAT WAS BEFORE BUSH TOOK OFFICE!!! http://www.city-journal.org/html/10_1_the_tri... This is a long article. I know you libs won't read it, because you don't read anything; but those of you who want to be informed about how this crisis originated this article is for you.

Your not taking into account Neo Con's mental dis connect when it comes to ANY Republican accepting responsibilty for ANYTHING regardless of how obvious his fault to the rest of the world. They will blame anyone or anything regardless of how implausible. Never forget for tehm opinion is fact, fact is opinion.

I wonder how many of you dumbass libs know exactly what caused the "Great Depression"? I seriously doubt that any of you know. Obama emulates FDR. FDR exaspertated the economy, and defiled the Constitution at the same time. Do you honestly think that building roads and bridges are going to pull us out of this mess? If you do than you are a fool.

Barney Frank running interference for Fannie and Freddie's idiotic mortgage practices was Bush's fault. Chris Dodd's overseeing the banking industry (while seeing NOTHING) was Bush's fault. And the fact you're a total moron is Bush's fault too! (Obama can make this even worse than it is ... and my guess is, he will. JUST like FDR did!)

Bear Stearns, Lehman, Merrill and many others who have gone down were completely UNREGULATED and were never forced to make loans to anyone. Only depository banks are regulated and they have their own independent loan standards. Minorities were not buying spec high-rises in FLorida you idiot. Quit listening to the Hannity type liars.

Why didn't the "Great Depression" end in the first 2-3 years of his administration?
